15 thoughts on SIX

I saw this about a week ago and here are some thoughts! 

  1. The show made me want to learn more about all the ladies (which was its clear goal, so well done!)
  2. The song that stood out to me most in the production I saw was "Heart of Stone"
  3. The song I've listened to the most from the soundtrack (recorded by another cast) is the finale "Six"
  4. I think including the song "Haus of Holbein" was smart to bring the energy up after the incredible, but slower song "Heart of Stone"
  5. While I had my favorite songs, I have now listened to the soundtrack as a whole on repeat
  6. I'm impressed that the actresses are on stage almost the entire time (really they only leave for mere seconds or so it felt)
  7. I am considering being one of the ladies for Halloween and/or C2E2
  8. I love that this is a musical that makes history tantalizing 
  9. I fully support the choice to not have Henry as a speaking or even seen role
  10. Having the band on stage was a fun touch
  11. The show made me wonder if I could write a play about history (maybe a goofy one about the US Camel Corps--one of my favorite odd bits of history)
  12. I appreciated that while it was a shorter show, all of the ladies got their chance to shine and garner attention
  13. The lighting was cleverly done (especially when used to emphasize the beheadings)
  14. The costumes were dynamic and delightful
  15. I wish they were selling merch (now I must go on Etsy--gasp!)

15 facts about my dad

Just been thinking about some lighthearted facts I know about my dad lately.
