Needed national days

  1. National Alligator Day. Alligators are only indigenous to the US and China so we really should celebrate them.
  2. National Time Capsule Day. Either bury one or dig one up, both would be fun!
  3. National Take a Nap Day. Ideally, this would actually be once a week, but naps are magical and should be honored.
  4. National Tidy Day. Wouldn't it be great if you had a day off to just do all that tidying that you'd love to do?
  5. National Baby Animal Day. Why stop at puppies? Plenty of animals are cute as babies.
  6. National Take a Photo Day. I feel like I see something new when I look at the world through a photographer's eye. It would be good for more people to at least try this.
  7. National Listen to One Song Day. Think you actually have a favorite song? TRY LISTENING IT FOR A WHOLE DAY! SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
  8. National Write a Thank You Note Day. Everyone has someone they should send a note to, but haven't, so take this day to do it!
  9. National Write a Letter Day. Everyone only gets spam mail, let's change that!
  10. National Coloring Day. Let's all take a break and just color for a bit. Could be good for destressing, but also some bonding.
  11. National Aunt Day. As I'm now an aunt, I'd like to have a day :D
  12. National Belated Birthday Day. Did you miss someone's birthday? Of course you did. Let's just pick one day a year that we can celebrate all of those we missed. That way, you only have to remember one date.
  13. National Figure Out a New State Noun Day. Yeah you have a state bird, but do you have a state nail polish color? This could be the day to decide on the new noun your legislators need to
  14. National Run and Scream Day. So a run and scream is where you stand in a line with people and then on the mark, you all start running and screaming and you run until you can't scream any more. Now this gets a lot of frustration out and, you know, there may be something in the news that just makes you want to scream.
  15. National Rewatch Your Favorite Kids' Movie Day. Remember that movie you loved as a kid? How good/bad/weird is it actually? You should rewatch it and find out.
  16. National Volunteer Day. For those who have the time, why don't you give some of it?
  17. National Bake Cookies Day. Just think how lovely every city would smell because of this.
  18. National Be a Tourist in Your City Day. Go do that thing that your city is known for, but that you've never done or go explore somewhere new.
  19. National New Mode of Transportation Day. Never been dog sledding? Try it! Never ridden a unicycle? Give it a whirl! Never invented a new kind of transportation? Invent away!
  20. National Glitter Day. The trick is that this would then become a glitter year because it would be EVERYWHERE.
  21. National Bold Fashion Day. Try something new today! Thought of doing drag? Work it! Wanted to wear a denim suit? Give it your all! Considered having bubble gum pink hair? Get that dye!
  22. National Relaxation Day. Get a message, meditate, nap, take a bubble bath, do whatever you need to recharge.
  23. National Hair Day. This has so many possibilities. You could get a new do, a new color, or even just a new hair brush.
  24. National Art Day. Just try some new art form today!
  25. National Stretch Day. Can you touch your toes? It's your goal for the day!

What days would you add?

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
