15 Game of Thrones thoughts

Hey all, no spoilers! I'm watching tonight and already the internet has told me some. Here are just some thoughts about the final season.

  1. Is Winds of Winter ever going to be done? Like could it magically just coincide with the end of this season? I feel like as soon as it's done I'll need more Game of Thrones.
  2. I still want Lyanna Mormont to sit on the iron throne. I know she won't, but she's my favorite and I think she'd kick ass. She could rule via bear back and get everyone in line.
  3. Dany is probably pregnant. You don't give 100% true information via prophecy. If she was never going to have kids, the witch would've just said that and not given some crazy caveats.
  4. Cersei is not pregnant. She was told she'd have three kids and they're all gone now. I really think she just said it to try and win the loyalty of Jaime and Tyrion.
  5. If somehow Cersei is pregnant, the pregnancy or birth will kill her. It could be that this is how the younger sibling kills her. Maybe she'll get brought back, we really did kill death a bit in this franchise.
  6. Jaime will kill Cersei. This would be the most satisfying of all of the various theories.
  7. Everything is Bran's fault. I would honestly just be amused if this is true. Now that time travel is truish, this could be true.
  8. Bran will sacrifice himself to rebuild the wall. There is a theory that the fate of the Starks' direwolves reflects the fate of the Starks. Summer died to protect others. There is also lore about how Stark blood is important to the wall and Bran is named for Bran the Builder (or is he Bran the Builder???).
  9. Sansa will be blamed for Lysa's death. Now this is actually a book theory because it really doesn't seem like it will work out for the show. But Lady was killed for a crime she did not commit and Sansa was very close to Lysa's death.
  10. Zombie Cat will emerge. Okay this is pretty unlikely, but I really want Lady Stoneheart to appear. So just keep your fingers crossed for zombie Cat.
  11. The Iron Throne will be abolished. Now I know I said I want Lyanna to rule, but I think the show is a bit more headed for the throne being abolished in the sense of what it is now. Dany said she wants to break the wheel and we have seen several other communities choose their leaders, so I think the show is headed this way.
  12. Yara will rule the Iron Isles. I feel like if she was going to die, she would be dead by now. Maybe she and Dany can finally hook up, I'd super prefer that to aunt/nephewcest.
  13. More direwolves will emerge. So we've seen a ton of the creatures beyond the wall, but aren't there supposed to be more direwolves? I feel like the Starks could use some new ones.
  14. Dany will have to kill the walker dragon. I think this is just going to be the level of tragedy that Dany will be put through. She will have to kill one of her children because he isn't really her child anymore.
  15. I will have lots of feelings and opinions. This is just a truism of pretty much everything I watch.

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
