15 podcasts, YouTube, and other online series I enjoy

Always feel free to chat with me about these!

  1. Sawbones. This is a hilarious medical history podcast that makes me wonder how we, as a species, haven't killed ourselves off yet.
  2. Why Won't You Date Me?. Nicole Byer is a treat and a dream and also very relatable and hilarious.
  3. My Favorite Murder. Yep, I'm a true crime fan.
  4. The Fall Line. This is a great true crime podcast that covers lesser known unsolved crimes in the south. They also do work to try and help the families of those missing.
  5. 100 Baby Challenge on Buzzfeed. This is just a hilarious little YouTube show that really makes me want to play The Sims.
  6. Buzzfeed Unsolved. Ghosts and unsolved crimes are covered and somehow I still often forget that the crimes are unsolved.
  7. My Brother, My Brother, and Me. Such a fun, goofy podcast with some good, good boys.
  8. The Try Guys. I watch all their videos and while some are certainly better than others, I enjoy them all.
  9. The Murder Squad. A very interesting idea for a podcast where the hosts try to involve the audience in solving aspects of a crime including identifying victims.
  10. Monster Factory. Wanna watch people just break video games to make crazy looking characters? Well, you should.
  11. Order of the Stick. My brother introduced me to this hilarious and heartfelt comic based on D&D.
  12. xkcd. Nerdy fun.
  13. Lunarbaboon. Funny, heartfelt, and poignant.
  14. Anything by Liz Climo. Yes, she does publish books as well, but she also posts a ton online.
  15. Cinemasins. I can be nitpicky and it's fun to see others be nitpicky.
What do you like?

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
