15 things I'd love to see turned into a Broadway musical

Tons of things are getting turned into musicals these days, so why not these? Note that these include ideas for funny musicals as well as serious ones.
  1. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Songs are already written, just need some editing to make it into s concise musical.
  2. Firefly. Whedon stuff has had musical aspects before, so why not a Firefly musical?
  3. The saga of Chance the Snapper. Discovery, alligator Bob's failure, the arrival of alligator Robb, and the reveal that Chance is not, in fact, an alligator. It's all there. I'd pay for this.
  4. Are You the One?. So many actors would be needed, but god this insanity of a show could make a very entertaining musical.
  5. Scooby Doo. This could be so goofy, so campy, and oh so fun.
  6. Geekerella. This precious YA novel has such heart that I think could carry through to the stage.
  7. Camel corps times. Hey did you know that we used to have troops on camels? No? Well this musical could teach you all about them.
  8. Brooklyn 99. This show is so delightful and I can only imagine a musical version would be the same.
  9. The story of King Henry VIII. His reign has a ton of drama, murder, delusion, and politics. It could be a really tragic musical, maybe a bit of a Sweeney Todd vibe.
  10. Buzzfeed Unsolved. Maybe Ryan and Shane could end up getting chased by something and Ryan thinks it's a demon and Shane thinks it's related to the true crime stuff they do. But, of course, it will have to remain...unsolved. There would also be a hot doga interlude.
  11. The Emu War. Hey remember that time humans fought emus and lost? No? Well this musical would make sure you did.
  12. The life of Frida Kahlo. Her life has so many intense moments that it could easily carry a show.
  13. Moana. How is that not already on Broadway?
  14. Clue. I have thought about staging this movie as a play, but music could really just add to it.
  15. Rajneeshpuram. This group is intricate, spiritual, and dangerous. All of those seem like they would lend well to a staged musical.

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
