15 things about my new doggo

New discoveries abound ad we get to know each other.

She loves the sound of squeaker toys, but has no interest in playing with them
She wants any and all food
She loves being under blankets (I need to buy more so we can each have enough)
She hates her winter coat so I bribe her with banana
She has pretty much no interest in her own dog bed (unless she is hiding from me when I'm trying to put her coat on)
Right when we get inside she becomes what I call a 'wiggle baby'
She seems to know her new name (Velma)
She loves sniffing at gum, but actually hasn't tried to eat any
She will always pee in the alley
She has pretty much no interest in or fear of other dogs
She believes herself to be a guard dog
She occasionally tries to get me to pick her up and put her on my bed even though she can hop up all on her own
She whines for food even when I'm putting food in her dish
She seems slightly insulted when I refill her water dish before refilling her food dish
She is my favorite

I'm angry

I'm angry. And I don't (at the moment) want to be talked out of it. I struggle, often, with expressing or even just sitting with my emotions. I feel like even the photo I chose for this post was more reserved or toned down than how I feel. But, this is my trying. I'm not going to time this post, just going to write until I feel done, whenever that may be. In this post, I'm going to focus on the anger I feel around my dad and my dad's death. Though, don't get me wrong, I'm also angry about a lot of things going on in my city, in my country, and in the world. My dad chose alcohol over me and my brother. There is no way around this fact. Yes, when I am less angry, I can be more reasonabl and recognize that addiction is a disesase and he didn't have control over it. But, right now, I want to be angry. I want to get to be angry. I want to get to feel my feelings. I don't want to rationalize, I don't want to be reasonable, I don't want to be fair....
