Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race season 12, episode 9

I wonder how they'll work in Dahlia in the broccoli costume this time.

  1. I maintain that Widow's outfit did not get enough praise like my god is she beautiful
  2. Heidi remains one of the best commentators on the show
  3. Widow I really hope you do take that spirit from the lip sync (because that was amazing) into this challenge
  4. Okay, I love Rachel Bloom, but I really feel like AOC should've been the judge on this challenge and Rachel Bloom should've been a judge for the Rusical
  5. Heidi has a new name! Has this ever happened before?
  6. The piece of lint needs to shut up
  7. I cannot believe kitty litter is sponsoring a challenge...this is unreal
  8. Oh my god I'm dying already with Crystal as Mad Cat (she should've been Grumpy Cat for Snatch Game)
  9. Widow, that is an insanely accurate portrayal of a cat
  10. Jaida going into a split was amazing
  11. Even though Gigi is in fact wearing snow leopard print, it read as dalmatian for a little bit
  12. I did enjoy Gigi seeing a ball of yarn and calling it an unfinished garment
  13. Crystal should've won that mini-challenge
  14. God we do need comic relief these days
  15. Crystal and Jaida taking turns saying political words is delightful, I love that they're friends
  16. I enjoy former queens advising the current contestants, but is Raven a campy queen? I just don't think the phrase "put the camp in campaign" applies to her
  17. Heidi is such a delight
  18. I really like all the queens (except for the piece of lint, obviously)
  19. Oh no, Widow...please
  20. Widow...are we not going for widow jokes? Am I the only one who thought we'd go for those?
  21. Widow, you were funny in Gay's Anatomy so I know you can do it
  22. Jaida loves a man who knows about dinosaurs and that is adorable
  23. Widow, please have some funny shit
  24. "It do take nerd"
  25. I love that they are including such real political opinions and fears
  26. Hi, Dahlia!
  27. Ah a classic master debater joke
  28. God, do we have to listen to the piece of lint for this whole challenge?
  29. Widow isn't doing terribly, but also not great so far
  30. Jaida is struggling a bit...
  31. Why does the piece of lint get to do the same thing over and over again and not get criticized for it?
  32. Crystal looks AMAZING...why wasn't this her promo look?
  33. Heidi is adorable
  34. Widow is stunning and I love her mesage
  35. The piece of lint once again does the same makeup but I bet no one will say anything
  36. Jackie is beautiful and also making a statement
  37. Gigi's looks are tailored to a T
  38. Jaida's look is very fun
  39. FINALLY someone tells the piece of lint that she is being repetitive
  40. I love Crystal's look, I don't care what Carson says
  41. Politicians are angry all the time...it's not a weird choice
  42. This is a weird moment, Jeff Goldblum
  43. Widow is gonna lip sync again...
  44. Ru tried to go for a deep thing about Widow and then kinda backed off of it
  45. My other guess is Jackie for the bottom
  46. I love how Widow's afro sparkles
  47. Okay so I was right about Widow and Jackie being in the bottom
  48. Man, I keep hoping the piece of lint will go home, but I don't think it's gonna happen
  49. Widow...I really want you to stay...
  50. Firework is an excellent choice
  51. Based on who is getting more camera time, I think Jackie may win
  52. Although Widow is a great performer still
  53. Did...Jeff Goldblum have tears in his eyes?
  54. Wow Jeff Goldblum is crying
  55. Yeah, I am going to miss Widow but I think this was fair (excluding the fact that the piece of lint should never have been on the show)
  56. Has a big girl ever won a season?
  57. Quoting her rap was a good call for an exit line
  58. I am still hoping that they bring back a queen
  59. God I want to hug Widow so much
  60. What...was that last Jeff Goldblum moment? I do not get it
  61. Make over is next week!
  62. I doubt that the fans didn't know that they were going to get made over...like they had to sign stuff to have their image allowed

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
