Thoughts on Canada's Drag Race season 1, episode 4

Onward!

  1. I hate how reality shows get me to bond with the person who is about to go home
  2. It is a huge bummer that she didn't write a message
  3. "And I'm feeling subtitled"
  4. I love Stacey's outfit
  5. Yes a naked boys challenge
  6. Wait is baked potato a sexy euphemism?
  7. Number 6 is the hottest
  8. "Waste not, want hot"
  9. Scarlet Bobo, I get that you brought a bunch of cool stuff but I do think the audience (at least me) likes to see things you've made and it makes it more fair for queens who don't have as much money
  10. Jimbo...stick with the vision
  11. Stacey's legs go for days
  12. House of Rust is not a great name
  13. So since we're spending so much time with Bobo, she's going to be in the top or bottom
  14. I'm so glad that the outfits of the first episode were the worst ones
  15. I like the head and shoulder pieces of Bobo's but not the rest
  16. Kiara has a complete look and it looks good
  17. Rita Baga made me say "whoa"
  18. BOA's chest piece that opened up was so fun
  19. I would've had more chains hanging off of the umbrella frame, Priyanka
  20. Lemon looks nice, but I don't find the dress that surprise me
  21. Also, Priyanka's outfit should've had some of the rose gold
  22. Ilona is serving fantasy and it's so fun
  23. Tynomi also looks like a warrior which is cool...but Jimbo is going to stand out
  24. Jimbo's outfit is amazing, but I don't think it fits as well with the line
  25. I think the plastic team mostly won because of Rita Baga, but she fully deserved the win
  26. Yeah BOA's diaper isn't the best
  27. Okay I love Priyanka, but I really don't like her outfit
  28. Lemon's outfit is just tied together
  29. Yeah the metal isn't cohesive but the paper is
  30. It's always funny how wrong the predictions of the backstage queens are
  31. Jimbo, you could've helped your team
  32. Wow it's crazy how cold this studio is
  33. Ilona, I get being upset, I really do but also you know that crafting is part of this show
  34. God I'm really not seeing what the judges are seeing in Priyanka's outfit
  35. Lemon's dress looks like she put fabric on her front and then tied it...we also see she didn't even have to unspool it
  36. Poor Tynomi being in the bottom again
  37. Knight vs. knight
  38. So Ilona can't handle All Stars
  39. OMG I'm so excited for "Girlfriend"
  40. That was a very fun lip sync although I did want a splits somewhere in there
  41. I figured they'd keep Ilona because it was Tynomi's third time in the bottom
  42. Huh Ilona was next to the exit but then when Tynomi was leaving, Jimbo was there
  43. Tynomi will keep being successful
  44. SNATCH GAME!!!
  45. I can't wait

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Starting my parental journey, part 8

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
