Thoughts on Canada's Drag Race season 1, episode 6

  1. Priyanka is funny, but is also shady
  2. I like this displaying of past outfits thing
  3. Yes, I love them being psychics but it is a wicked burn on Priyanka
  4. Am I supposed to know who this queen is?

  8. Getting to chose the teams is an insanely good perk
  9. I love that a group is doing something against bachelorette parties that take over a gay club
  10. Rita Baga got a finger up her butt from a bachelorette??? BACHELORETTES NEED TO CALM THE F DOWN
  11. Getting this done in half an hour is nuts
  12. Okay Priyanaka, I get it is difficult, but you decided on being so many characters (also you could've shot all scenes that are in one outfit first so you don't have to change out of and then into the same outfit
  13. The group of three did look like a mess
  14. Yes, realness with the book hitting her face

  19. Scarlet Bobo has a distinct style and I appreciate it
  20. Ilona is showing a new look for her and she looks great
  21. I said "whoa" when BOA came out
  22. Jimbo's look reminds me a bit of Crystal Methyd's purple outfit
  23. Rita Baga looks good, but it's not a wow for me
  24. Priyanka looks incredible
  25. Tom Green, bless him, isn't making any puns
  26. I don't like Lemon's look
  27. They cut the lemon joke!
  28. I really enjoyed Ilona and Scarlet Bobo's like I actually laughed outloud
  29. The Belles commercial was very clever, but it didn't make me laugh outloud
  30. Haha it's a great twist that the Pussy Protectors are actually criminals
  31. I love that Tom called his mom to prove that the costume he had for a church play was similar to BOA's look
  32. So it seems like BOA for sure is going to be in the bottom
  33. Tom Green just burns the US
  34. So if you are the first person to call someone out for who should go home you need to be careful but I think it gets in everyone's heads and then they pick the person you said too
  35. Score count: Lemon: Scarlet Bobo, Ilona, BOA, and Jimbo; Ilona: Rita Baga, Priyanka, and Lemon
  36. I'm actually surprised that no one said BOA
  37. Why are they always so cold?
  38. You should actually say "This isn't Canada's Best Friend's Race"
  39. I think Jimbo should've won, but Rita Baga also did well
  40. "You're safe word is safe"
  41. You can tell Lemon is a dancer by how she's standing
  42. Lemon being safe makes sense because she did better in the acting challenge
  43. Oh I love this song...I just never knew it was called "Scars to Your Beautiful"
  44. Ilona is really feeling this song
  45. BOA did okay, but I think Ilona won that one
  46. Ilona deservedly stays
  47. "I didn't come here to make friends, I cam here to make lasagna"
  48. When is Ru going to come out with a Canada song?

Starting my parental journey, part 9

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Starting my parental journey, part 8

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year.
