15 Christmasy memories

What are some memories you have of Christmas time?

  1. Meeting both of my nephews for the first time (different Christmases)
  2. Making a gingerbread house with my dad and a piece of frosting falling on the counter. One of us stuck a gumdrop in it and we both laughed til we cried
  3. Hiding crumpled paper we colored black in Cory's stocking and him hiding it right back (it was supposed to be coal)
  4. Cory putting tape in the tree (many Christmases)
  5. Playing Mysterium with Cory, Madyha, and my dad at my apartment
  6. Putting on a flashing nose at the Kleeman caroling party when I requested "Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer"
  7. Making a gingerbread village with Hannah and having her put a gummy bear somewhere and saying "Danger lurks around every corner"
  8. Getting a solar system necklace that I really wanted from my dad without even having asked for it
  9. Playing a board game with Kimi and David on Kimi's birthday (Christmas Eve)
  10. My mom telling me where ornaments came from (many Christmases)
  11. My friends paying for my ticket home from Ireland
  12. Eating tuna spaghetti with my dad (many Christmases)
  13. Watching Nightmare Before Christmas with Cory (many Christmases)
  14. Watching It's a Wonderful Life with Cory and my dad (many Christmases)
  15. Eating chili at Emily and Joe's house for their caroling party

15 facts about my dad

Just been thinking about some lighthearted facts I know about my dad lately. When he was young, he had a goldfish named Lysander He introduced me to Star Trek At Christmas, he would tear up at It's a Wonderful Life He used to send me articles from his Yahoo email account that he thought I'd like We used to play a game called "Nightmare" where he would lie down and we'd jump around (and sometimes on) him He would clip possible recipes for us to try out of newspapers and magazines We bought him a Paddington Bear to take on trips because we feared he'd be lonely and he always took it He had teddy bears for three different holidays We once had such a hilariously difficult time building a gingerbread house that when some frosting ended up on the counter, I plopped a gumdrop on it and we laughed until we cried He and his sister were born about 11 months apart We would try recipes from Top Chef He kept gifts I made him, even when they weren't great At Christmas, ...
