  • Runs a coffee shop a few blocks over from the training facility
  • Gorgeous
  • Grew impatient on hunky cop proposing so she gave an ultimatum and then dumped him
  • Lustrous blonde hair
  • Outwardly friendly, but can be passive-aggressive 
  • Main character meets about halfway through book

Best Friend

  • Inherited the shop from her grandma (parents died)
  • Has cute twin brother (will be another possible romance)
    • Twin brother helps run store, but prefers to do back of store things like receiving inventory and completing returns
  • Will in some book have an adoption event at her store
  • Unlucky in love
  • Curly black hair and green eyes
  • Sarcastic
  • Considers adopting another dog (probably will eventually)
  • Dyed hair that she constantly changes the color of
  • Looking to hire another person at the shop as their old help just went off to college
    • Main character will direct a dog owner there
  • May eventually fall for annoyed neighbor (TBD)
Annoyed Neighbor
  • Runs a bath and body shop, likes quiet to promote a feeling of relaxation in her store
  • Prim
  • Cat person
  • Is suspicious of new people who come to town
  • Eventually she and main character will make shaky amends and she will make candles to help with animal odors
  • Straight brown hair, hazel eyes

I'm angry

I'm angry. And I don't (at the moment) want to be talked out of it. I struggle, often, with expressing or even just sitting with my emotions. I feel like even the photo I chose for this post was more reserved or toned down than how I feel.  But, this is my trying. I'm not going to time this post, just going to write until I feel done, whenever that may be. In this post, I'm going to focus on the anger I feel around my dad and my dad's death. Though, don't get me wrong, I'm also angry about a lot of things going on in my city, in my country, and in the world. My dad chose alcohol over me and my brother. There is no way around this fact. Yes, when I am less angry, I can be more reasonabl and recognize that addiction is a disesase and he didn't have control over it. But, right now, I want to be angry. I want to get to be angry. I want to get to feel my feelings. I don't want to rationalize, I don't want to be reasonable, I don't want to be fair....
