And even more D&D brainstorming in 15 minutes

I have another session coming up on Friday! I don't think my party reads my blog. If you do--STOP IT!

So pretty much I have to think about ways that they may go after finding out that they're secretly royals and the queen is seeking them out.

  • Go to the queen
    • She is looking for them and the scholar knows who they are so this would make sense
    • They can then submit to trials to see if they are worthy of being her successor
    • They will be kept in lavish settings
    • There will be court intrigue for them to maneuver 
      • This would mean I need to come up with the court
  • Go to the queen's brother
    • The queen did go to extreme measures so perhaps they don't trust her
    • They can join the plot to kill the queen
      • Means that they need to build trust with him first
    • They can be used to try and become the queen's successor so the brother can have power
    • Court intrigue for them to maneuver
      • This would mean I need to come up with the court
  • Find other royals (can be part of any other plan)
    • Four others
      • 1 in Riocht, brought to queen, ambitious, female
      • 1 in Tuaithe, being brought to queen, unsure, wants to the lavish life but not responsibility, they
      • 1 in Tir, being brought to brother, hates the queen for what she did, male
      • 1 in Bhardas, being brought to queen, unsure, secretive, they
      • 5 others who didn't want to be brought to the queen
  • Decide to raise their own reputation before making a move
    • They may want to claim the throne but have their own support first
    • Chances for lots of side campaigns to save small communities
    • They could go to where Poem is a folk hero already
  • Return to Baile (can be part of any other plan)
    • They did take horses so perhaps they want to return them
    • Maybe they want to check to see if the town woke up for sure
    • Maybe they want to chat with Durogark again
  • Ask the scholar to come with them (this can be a part of any other plan)
    • Knowledgeable, good guide, connections
    • Resistant to leave because this is where the queen stationed her and she's loyal
      • Need high persuasion to get her to leave her post
      • A good argument could also get her to leave
  • Completely ignore it
    • I hope they don't take this option
    • Then they have to decide what they want to do and the world becomes even wider
    • Maybe they'll leave Riocht and I have to come up with another world
      • They could then claim to represent the royal family

Just been thinking about some lighthearted facts I know about my dad lately.
