I have another session coming up on Friday! I don't think my party reads my blog. If you do--STOP IT! I'm going to copy and paste a lot of my last post so I can build on it.
- Town of Talamh
- Should ask around about the sleeping spell
- Similar to Baile, but smaller
- Similar layout, but much smaller travelling merchant section, only one tavern
- Town was warned about the spell, but don't know what it was for
- Rumors are that the queen was conducting something evil (group of four)
- Rumors are that it wasn't from the queen at all, but from her brother so he could try and make the queen seem bizarre (group of five)
- Rumors say that one person was awake but he's not talking (barkeep, local crew, and couple)
- Have to talk to several patrons to find out where he is
- Only one person in town was a bastard, but they didn't want to go
- Abarat Dordan, full elf (see family tree)
- Convinced that he would be killed
- Paranoid
- Thinks the plague that wiped out a lot of the royal family was poisonings (they were, but this is not known)
- Hesitant to talk to the adventurers
- Could be convinced to join them with high enough persuasion roll
- Can be found hiding in the small out of town merchant section trying to smuggle himself out of town
- At the local tavern
- Can enter into a drinking contest with a local crew (Elred, Gorwin, and Shalia) for 100 gp
- You can take as many drinks that is equal to 2x(your con mod) before you get drunk and have to make con saving throws. You make a con saving throw for each drink you drink over your drinking limit. The save DC is 10 + (the number of drinks you are over your limit). First to lose 3 checks passes out.
- Elred con modifier: +0
- Gorwin con modifier: +1
- Shalia con modifier: +2
A very charismatic man (Folen Dorvaris) approaches the party and begins buying drinks for them and woo them with compliments and conversation. After the party is sufficiently intoxicated, the man begins to try to sell them normal things, described as great things, at very high prices.- The tavern has a dance contest
- Elred performance +3
- Gorwin performance +1
- Shalia performance +0
- In a dance off both players roll their Dance Check. Which is whatever the DM allows them to get away with such as: Perform (Dance), Perform (Comedy), Tumble, Athletics, Jump, Sleight of Hand or anything the player can justify as a dance move.
- The player with the higher Dance Check then rolls his Dance Damage. Dance Damage is 1d4+Charisma. DM's can grant a bonus to Dance Damage for impressive feats such as incorporating a direct insult into your dance or similar.
- When a player takes Dance Damage they must then make a will save (DC = cumulative Dance Damage received throughout the entire battle.)
- Failure indicates the player has had enough of being taunted and mocked by the opponent and audience, and loses his temper / runs away crying / starts a real fight or similar.
- While the party is eating, the Queen's guards arrive and shake down the owner (Ayda Genlana) claiming he is evading the Queen's taxes.
- The owner of the tavern (Ayda Genlana) is an accomplished homebrewer. She tells you about her various brews and, if the party is in town for long enough, will teach them how to brew.
- A child (Myrin Elgolor) runs into the inn and proudly holds up an imp the child claims to have befriended.
- In the tavern is the local crew mentioned above, the owner,
the charismatic man, a group of five (having a grand time and eager to share), a group of four (more laid back, a little suspicious of the newcomers), and a couple on a date (most eager to be left alone) - Group of five (human women, red haired): Aoife, Fiona, Dymphana, Briana, and Slany (all sisters with last name Nic Gribín)
- Group of four (half-elves): Samelor Preslar (M, brunette), Avlarel Mianala (F, brunette), Marvara Virfir (F, blonde), Donphon Trismoira (M, brunette)
- Couple: Kusuki Trollforge and Gotroick Mudtoe (male dwarves, muscular, black hair and beards)
- Job board (have them pick then go deeper) to be found at the end of day one
- The inn is being haunted. Items are flying off shelves and moving by themselves. The party investigates... at the root. A malicious spellcaster telekinesis using a Crystal Ball
- A local musician plays a song every night to keep an angry beast at bay. The musician goes missing. If the townsfolk cannot find a replacement to play the soothing toon by nightfall, the entire town will be in danger.
- The players must infiltrate an illegal dice casino run by a Goblin Mob. They will need to find a set of "magical dice" to defeat the goblin kingpin at its own gam
