I saw my first movie in theaters since the pandemic and wanted to write a bit about it.
- I did not think it was Gal Gadot who died
- I definitely thought I had figured out the crime several times (I did eventually but only after several wrong guesses)
- I loved the costumes
- Poirot's mustache was ridiculous
- It was super convenient (and odd) that the staff of the boat left every night
- Also, those poor staff who had to deal with five deaths at their place of business and had to carry two of the bodies around like it was a normal part of their job
- It did take a while to get to a death
- Gotta love the secret lesbian reveal
- I wonder if in the original book there were Black characters (I'm not at all complaining that they were in the movie, I'm just curious about the source material)
- Sometimes the special effects just weren't good enough
- There was more music in it than I thought there would be
- I'm not sure the opening scene of Poirot during the war was necessary
- There sure were a lot of guns for a wedding party
- I want to see Murder on the Orient Express now
- I hope there are more Poirot movies--they're fun
