Just some helpful things to look for!
- Salary (try Glassdoor if it's not posted)
- Glassdoor ranking of the company
- If you can, see when the posting was last posted (what's the turnover like?)
- If it mentions working nights and/or weekends/holidays
- How much travel is required
- If it's a new position (if so, expect some rockiness)
- What items are required for the application (this should give an idea as to what they value in the job e.g. a writing sample)
- How big the company is
- LinkedIn profiles of potential coworkers (can give you a sense of the makeup of the company)
- The benefits (depending on what they are, your compensation could be significantly better or worse than you thought)
- The company's mission statement
- If it's relevant, where the company donates its money
- Requirements versus preferences for a candidate
- Company history
- If it's relevant, when the company has appeared in the news
