Write something that takes place on a staircase

"Just come to bed Sarah."

"Oh sure, it's all fine now so we can just go to bed."

"Sarah."

"Anthony."

"Just come upstairs."

"Why should I?"

"Because it's late and we should go to bed."

"You can go to bed."

"Sarah."

"What?"

"In ten years we have never not gone to bed together after an argument."

"Well there's a first time for everything."

"Sarah, it really isn't a big deal."

"Cool, just minimize my feelings. That's great."

"You know I didn't mean that."

"I don't know what you mean about anything anymore"

"Sarah, it was just a kiss."

"I can't believe you're even saying that."

"What else do you want me to say?"

"Sorry would be a start."

"I'm sorry then."

"See that doesn't count."

"What?"

"You only said it to get me to come upstairs."

"No, I really mean it. I'm sorry."

"Sorry for what Anthony?"

"Jesus Christ, Sarah."

"Say it."

"I'm sorry I kissed her."

"Now there's a start."

"Okay, so can we go to bed, c'mon, I'm already up the stairs."

"You could come down."

"You could come up."

"You could tell the truth."

"I told you the truth! It was one drunken kiss at a bachelor party. It didn't mean anything."

"So you've said."

"What else do you want me to say?"

"How about why she texts you?"

"Why she--what?"

"I saw the texts."

"You went through my phone? That's a huge viola--"

"You dumbass, the messages come through on the iPad."

"Oh."

"Yeah, oh."

"Sarah..."

"Besides, don't try to flip this on me. I've been committed to you for ten years. You've been--what? Dicking around with me for ten years?"

"You know that's not true. I love you."

"..."

"You know I do, Sarah...please don't cry."

"I'm not crying."

"Okay."

"And even if I were, I'd be allowed."

"Okay."

"So you want to start again about how you were telling me the truth?"

"Look--"

"Oh great start."

"Sarah--"

"Anthony."

"Listen--"

"Why should I?"

"Because we've been together for ten years."

"..."

"Sarah, I made a mistake. But it doesn't mean that I don't love you."

"Prove it."

"What?"

"Prove it."

"How do you want me to prove it? Now? At this hour? Why can't we just go to bed?"

"Because I feel like I'm going to scream."

"Scream into a pillow?"

"Cute."

"Hey at least you still think I'm cute?"

"Stop it, Anthony."

"Sorry, just trying to ligthen the mood."

"I don't need the mood lightened."

"So I see."

"Don't take that tone with me."

"What do you want from me?"

"Come downstairs so we can talk this out."

"Come upstairs so we can go to bed. Let's talk about this in the morning."

"Why?"

"Why?"

"Yeah, Anthony, why?"

"Because we don't have clear heads at the moment. I know I don't."

"And a night of tossing and turning will do what? Help? Not make me even more aggravated?"

"I'm aggravated too!"

"At what? What have I done, Anthony?"

"That's not what I meant!"

"Don't yell at me."

"I wasn't yelling."

"You were."

"Okay, okay. I'm just--"

"You know, Anthony, I don't really care."

"Thanks."

"No, I don't have to care about you right now. You broke something and I get to be upset about it."

"Fine!"

"Fine!"

"..."

"Come down."

"Come up."

"We'll meet half-way."

"Sarah, that's silly."

"It's not. Look, I've come half-way up the stairs, now you meet me half-way."

"This is ridiculous!"

"No it's not!"

"Sarah, just--"

"Don't touch me."

"Sarah--"

"I said, don't touch me!"

"Sarah, goddammit just--"

"Ah!"

"Sarah!"

"..."

"Sarah!"

"..."

"Sarah?"

"..."

"Shit."

15 facts I learned from a random Wikipedia article

Original prompt: click on "Random Wikipedia Article" and write about whatever comes up (you can try 3 times and pick your favorite). For the record, I got Alejandro Estivill , Fencing at the 2011 Pan American Games – Women's épée , and Benjamin F. Jonas . I chose Benjamin F. Jonas because it was the longest of the three entries and it had a photo. He was born in Kentucky, moved to Illinois as a kid, and went to college and spent the rest of his life in Louisiana Jonas's father was a merchant and lawyer His father knew Lincoln (like they were real buds) Despite this, Jonas sided with the confederacy Not only did he side with the confederacy, but he joined the Confederate army and rose to the rank of major He went to University of Louisiana (now Tulane) Jonas was Jewish (I didn't know there were Jewish senators who served the Confederacy) He was the second Jewish U.S. Senator from Louisiana and the third Jewish Senator overall Jonas was the first Ashkenazi Jewish US...

Origin story or first issue of a superhero whose super power is geometry

Arya sat in history class and was bored. She longed to get to geometry, where things made more sense. She liked geometry so much that she had joined the math team to be able to do it more. Okay, there was also the extra time with her friends who loved math as much as she did, but some of the appeal was just the math itself. Finally the bell rang and Arya had four minutes to get to her geometry class. She passed right by the chemistry class next door where her least favorite teacher was conducting experiments. He needed to be more careful, thought Arya. The teacher had once exploded a glass beaker and not on purpose. Arya took her seat and excitedly pulled out her notebook. It was her favorite color: hot pink. She assigned her notebook and folder colors in ways that felt right to her. And since geometry was her favorite subject, she made her notebook and folder for it her favorite color. As the teacher started to go over the most common mistakes from the last quiz, Arya could've swo...

Color palette

Original prompt: "Google "color palette," pick one, and write something inspired by it." I actually Googled "color palette public domain" to be sure I could use it and found the image on this post. I used the "floral" section for my inspiraiton. The soft sunlight somehow didn't dim the shine of the fireflies. Such it was in the fae realm. Fern loved this time of day in the faewild where it wasn't quite day, but it was far from night. Fern frolicked alone in the glade as she was want to do. It didn't matter to her that her laughter carried itself alone on the breeze; she was content. She wasn't sure how long she'd been alone as she watched the suns begin to set, but it was pleasant in its own way. But then, she heard a noise. It wasn't the noise of leaves on the wind or twigs snapping from some comforting creature. It was the noise of someone approaching with grim determination. Fern wasn't sure how to ready herself to ...
