Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race season 15, episode 2

Season premiere part 2!

  1. It seems like group 2 has a distinct disadvantage here
  2. Okay...older twin is barely anything
  3. You can't say ghetto, twins (sorry I looked away and I don't know which one said it)
  4. Making a glass of ice water?
  5. The twins are stressing me out
  6. Aw Ross is married
  7. I always think the choreography is impressive, especially given their time limit
  8. Malaysia was fun
  9. Spice was great
  10. Is anyone going to do something unique?
  11. Luxx is beautiful
  12. Mistress is funny
  13. Is Loosey singing live? I feel like I hear a track
  14. I'm enjoying Marcia's act
  15. I feel like Robin's track is too quiet
  16. Okay I find Irene's shtick funny
  17. I'm laughing, Malaysia
  18. Okay Anetra sold me on the quacks and I loved the wood chopping
  19. Sugar was cute
  20. I would've been more impressed with Princess's act if she was actually throwing her voice
  21. Salina was okay, but it didn't hold my attention
  22. Amethyst was okay, but I wanted her to do something with the wine
  23. Aura looked fierce
  24. Sasha's performance was great
  25. I hope more people look up the history of the song "Zombie"
  26. Jax is great
  27. I like Irene's walk
  28. Luxx looks fabulous
  29. Aura looks good, but I want to see more variety
  30. Marcia looks adorable
  31. Anetra's looks is fun
  32. "It's all water off a duck's crack"
  33. Malaysia is beautiful
  34. Princess looks cute
  35. Sasha is art
  36. Salina looks great
  37. Amethyst looks cute but I'm not wowed
  38. I love Jax's camera
  39. I like Loosey's hat (or is it a fascinator?)
  40. Mistress is working that fringe
  41. Robin looks elegant
  42. I love Sugar's Belle look
  43. I like Spice's Ariel looks but I wish the twins would be more differentiated
  44. We'll see if Marcia ups her makeup game (though, don't get me wrong, she looks lovely)
  45. I think I would've picked Jax to win, but Anetra was great too
  46. "Ejokeulated"
  47. They're both doing well, but I think Amethyst is slightly winning? (I'm right)
  48. Next time we show off the afterlife
  49. Next time we have some tears and tension
  50. Can't wait!

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Starting my parental journey, part 8

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
