Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars season 8, episode 9

Time for the roast. 

  1. Okay, if things felt balanced, Alexis, why not save the person who saved you?
  2. This is not the top four I expected (mostly because I expected Heidi to still be here)
  3. Oof the roast is usually rough and it looks like this one will be too
  4. Okay so being too nice is death to a roast, sure, but so is being too mean
  5. Ooooh I had forgotten about Alexis's roast...she was green I think
  6. Yes! Katya!
  7. Yeah I thought Katya would give some advice, but she's just here to promote herself I guess?
  8. I love Ru's hair
  9. I prefer when the roast is a surprise 
  10. Alexis is doing okay, but I don't think she's very funny
  11. Jessica is doing great (and Ru is loving it)
  12. Wait did I miss how we determined the order of this?
  13. I forgot Alexis was a Broadway diva
  14. Kandy did well I thought
  15. I don't think Jimbo's look is very Joan Rivers
  16. Jimbo is doing well though
  17. So I guess we needed to pad for time?
  18. Alexis looks cute but a little old (just her makeup!)
  19. Jessica looks beautiful, but it's not memorable to me
  20. Kandy is adorable and is fulfilling the assignment
  21. I really enjoy the movement of Jimbo's look
  22. Ah so Jackie Would is Thom Filicia (who looks great)
  23. Yes, go Jimbo! Maybe she'll finally win a lip sync
  24. Oh they're all up for elimination!
  25. Silky has earned her title of lip sync assassin (I'll never forget her lip sync to "Barbie Girl")
  26. Also, I don't get Jimbo's look for the lip sync
  27. I think Jimbo might win this one (and she did!)
  28. Yeah I would've sent Alexis home too, Jimbo
  29. Okay Jimbo dancing behind Silky during the outro was hilarious
  30. Next week is the makeover challenge, can't wait!

I'm angry

I'm angry. And I don't (at the moment) want to be talked out of it. I struggle, often, with expressing or even just sitting with my emotions. I feel like even the photo I chose for this post was more reserved or toned down than how I feel.  But, this is my trying. I'm not going to time this post, just going to write until I feel done, whenever that may be. In this post, I'm going to focus on the anger I feel around my dad and my dad's death. Though, don't get me wrong, I'm also angry about a lot of things going on in my city, in my country, and in the world. My dad chose alcohol over me and my brother. There is no way around this fact. Yes, when I am less angry, I can be more reasonabl and recognize that addiction is a disesase and he didn't have control over it. But, right now, I want to be angry. I want to get to be angry. I want to get to feel my feelings. I don't want to rationalize, I don't want to be reasonable, I don't want to be fair....
