Thoughts on 90 Fiance: The Other Way, season 5, episode 1

Season premiere!

  1. Are we really watching Brandan poop?
  2. How literally do you mean you're on the phone all the time?
  3. That air freshener does nothing, I'm sure
  4. Oof, I'm sorry, Brandan
  5. We're getting too many details, Brandan
  6. Mary already has your name tattooed?
  7. OMG! There's a Holly on this season!
  8. Princesses always made sense to you?
  9. 70 inches long is crazy long
  10. Julio is a cutie
  11. What nightclubs let a 15 year old DJ?
  12. So far Julio and Kirsten seem good
  13. Ah there it is, we haven't told the family
  14. Kenny and Armando are back!
  15. Hannah is so cute
  16. Wow Brandan...you couldn't have guessed how that would go?
  17. Mary...this is such an unhealthy relationship
  18. Huh I wonder if Kirsten really was held up or if this is a joke
  19. Okay I agree that Mary has crossed a line, but like so has Brandan
  20. Okay, Brandan's mom, there are multiple reasons why you and Brandan don't have a relationship (though her concern is valid)
  21. This season we meet new couples
  22. This season there is a car crash?
  23. This season we travel and experience cultural differences
  24. This season we go to a strip club
  25. This season men wear makeup (which is good!)
  26. This season Daniele and Yohan return
  27. This season we celebrate Christmas
  28. This season secrets come out
  29. This season we have some epic fights
  30. This season looks good!

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
