Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race season 16, episode 10

"Werq the World" time!

  1. Oop Mhi'ya is getting spicy
  2. Is Nymphia actually going to struggle though? I feel like we've seen this edit before
  3. Dawn is shady
  4. People are struggling with this choreography (I mean I would too)
  5. Serious political talk time
  6. I love Ru's stringy look
  7. Are they going to use the same words in the "Werq the World" tour? Some are specific to the queens on this season
  8. Mhi'ya is regal, but I am not a fan of the feathers on her back
  9. Nymphia looks great as always
  10. So I LOVE the color of Plane's look but the mix of the roots and the geometric patterns doesn't quite jive for me
  11. Sapphira is a queen beyond belief
  12. I wish Dawn had picked a different color, but I love how quirky her look is
  13. Q's look is so fun, but I'm actually not a fan of the ruffles on the pants
  14. Morphine is glamorous, but I feel like the chest doesn't quite fit as intended
  15. Wow I'm so surprised that Plane gave the potion to Nymphia
  16. I was going to throw a fit if Sapphira was in the bottom
  17. Lol no one is going home but the immunity potion could still be used up
  18. For the record, I think Sapphira should've just won (but I also think she rightfully won the lip sync)
  19. Next time is a sketch challenge and Plane goes off
  20. Can't wait!

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
