I am always looking for excuses to send cards. You can read part 1 here. Many of these were found on the National Day Calendar website

  1. April Fool's Day (just send goofy cards)
  2. First Contact Day (Star Trek cards for all! Also, it's apparently April 5th)
  3. National Deep Dish Pizza Day (gotta have Chicago pride, also it's apparently also April 5th)
  4. National Handmade Day (I could make the cards! Also, it's apparently the first Saturday in April)
  5. National Pet Day (again, I could make Hoban cards, also it's apparently April 11th)
  6. National Haiku Poetry Day (I could write everyone a haiku, also it's apparently April 17th)
  7. Independent Bookstore Day (I could send a bookstore recommendation to everyone, also it's apparently the last Saturday in April)
  8. National Paranormal Day (I could get some really fun cards for this, also it's apparently May 3rd)
  9. Bird Day (bird cards for all! Also, it's apparently May 4th)
  10. Star Wars Day (Star Wars cards for all! Also, it's May 4th as in "May the fourth be with you)
  11. Free Comic Book Day (I could recommend a comic to everyone, also it's apparently the first Saturday in May)
  12. National Twilight Zone Day (Twilight Zone cards for all! Also, it's apparently May 11th)
  13. National Limerick Day (I could write everyone a limerick, also it's apparently May 12th)
  14. Geek Pride Day (geeky cards for all, also it's apparently May 25th)
  15. National Smile Day (I'd send a card to try and make people smile, also it's apparently May 31st)

15 facts about my dad

Just been thinking about some lighthearted facts I know about my dad lately. When he was young, he had a goldfish named Lysander He introduced me to Star Trek At Christmas, he would tear up at It's a Wonderful Life He used to send me articles from his Yahoo email account that he thought I'd like We used to play a game called "Nightmare" where he would lie down and we'd jump around (and sometimes on) him He would clip possible recipes for us to try out of newspapers and magazines We bought him a Paddington Bear to take on trips because we feared he'd be lonely and he always took it He had teddy bears for three different holidays We once had such a hilariously difficult time building a gingerbread house that when some frosting ended up on the counter, I plopped a gumdrop on it and we laughed until we cried He and his sister were born about 11 months apart We would try recipes from Top Chef He kept gifts I made him, even when they weren't great At Christmas, ...
