15 thoughts on Moana 2 SPOILERS

I just saw this yesterday!

I loved the expansion of the cast
There were some brief, but pretty dark moments
Moana is now a demigod??? Love it
Overall, the songs didn't compel me as much as those in the first
While still great animation, I didn't get shivers like I did at certain moments in the first one
They certainly set up a third movie which I think could be really cool as it will likely explore the larger pantheon
Tamatoa did not need to make an appearance (IMO)
The little sister was precious
I'm such a planner/anxious person that when the whole host of people from other islands arrives at the end my first thought was "Uh, are they going to have enough food?"
Eating pork jokes in front of the pig still didn't land well with me (idk it just felt weird)
"Fan fic" making its way into dialogue was hilarious to me
Although this movie welcomingly expanded on the Kakamora, they remain a part that felt a bit out of place to me
A part of the movie made me think that Maui had lost his demigodness and was going to be the human that landed on the cursed island, but I was glad that Moana was still the human that did it
Gotta love Heihei still (and yes, part of that is because he's voiced by Alan Tudyk)
Moana 2 was overall charming, but not as epic feeling as the first

Just been thinking about some lighthearted facts I know about my dad lately.
