Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race, season 17, episode 4

Time for a commercial acting challenge!

  1. Joella...I think it's clear the other queens don't love you as much as they love Lucky
  2. I always love impressions
  3. Crystal as a tumbleweed is hilarious
  4. So far nothing has topped Crystal as a tumbleweed
  5. The leotard is too similar for Kori's Ruveal
  6. Oh, Lexi, I hate that you went through that
  7. Onya's artwork looks awesome
  8. Joella, I'm sorry you have experienced that
  9. I do not know this guest judge (which, to be clear, is a read on me)
  10. Lydia's look is a wow
  11. So I love how oclorful Lana's look is, but it is not my favorite
  12. Joella's look made me laugh (though I did expect a Ruveal)
  13. Arrietty looks badass
  14. Jewels is selling it
  15. Hormona's look is a great Dolly tribute
  16. Crystal is fabulous
  17. Suzie is the eye of Sauron??? LOVE IT
  18. So I like Sam's look, but I feel like we saw something similar on a previous season?
  19. Acacia looks great, but I want BIGGER (probably just apersonal preference though)
  20. Onya's look is divine
  21. Lexi's look is a wow
  22. Kori looks great
  23. Crystal as a tumbleweed may end up being my favorite thing of the season
  24. I want Joella to have bigger hair in her part, but it was fun
  25. Hormona did better than I thought she had
  26. Suzie did great
  27. I wasn't a big fan of Sam and Acacia's part
  28. Onya can really sing and is so beautiful
  29. One thing you can say about Kori--she committed
  30. Okay, Michelle, Arrietty looks much more like a deer than a cat
  31. HOW DID NO ONE MENTION THE TUMBLEWEED IN CRYSTAL'S CRITIQUE???
  32. Is...Joella going to lip sync in that outfit?
  33. Onya is a deserving winner
  34. Thank goodness Joella finally took off the quilt
  35. Oop Joella doesn't know the words
  36. Yeah I mean Kori HAD to be the winner
  37. Next week is RPDR Live!
  38. Next week Crystal wishes she won (when really she should just be shocked they didn't mention her as a tumbleweed--yes, I will die on this hill)
  39. Next week should be fun
  40. Can't wait!

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
