Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race, season 17, episode 7

Time for Snatch Game!

  1. Wait did they really throw out their garments?
  2. Kori is stirring up Suzie
  3. What does Arrietty mean she's a baby?
  4. I wish we spent less time pre-Snatch Game and spent more time for the actual Snatch Game
  5. Onya, don't change from Eddie Murphy
  6. GayI is unhinged but should be fun
  7. Lexi is struggling already...BUT! She is still making Ru laugh
  8. Lana, you can't expect Ru to wait for you to do one of her jokes
  9. Okay, I don't think Suzie was bombing like Jewels said, but she was, for this group, middling
  10. I LOVE Ru's look
  11. Acacia's Swiss Army Knife nails are hilarious
  12. Suzie's look is fantastic
  13. Lexi's nails are so detailed and she look so sexy
  14. Sam's look feels a little done
  15. Lana does look gorgeous
  16. Kori, your look is not going to be remembered compared to these other looks
  17. Crystal was smart to do another take on nails
  18. Jewels looks good, but I wouldn't have gotten the depth of the look without the narration
  19. Lydia's look is twisted, but cool
  20. Arrietty's look is good, but not at the level I expect of her
  21. The best part of Onya's look is the hair
  22. Lana is so sexy
  23. So I do think Lana did better in the lip sync, but Crystal does have the better track record (and Lana stays!)
  24. Next time is the Rusical!
  25. Can't wait!

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Starting my parental journey, part 8

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
