Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race season 18, episode 13

Time for an acting challenge (turned out to be more improv)?

  1. Love that Myki referenced the dead butterflies
  2. I love that Darlene is having such a good time (although, I thought Jane's matched her outfit the best)
  3. Actually, just saw Darlene's full shirt and she deservedly won the hat challenge lol
  4. Oof Darlene was not ready for this puppet challenge
  5. It is funny that they're all bombing the puppet challenge
  6. I do love that Darlene was like, "Wow I want Puppet Me's outfit"
  7. I feel like the crew should get a bigger tip
  8. It is pretty funny that after that abysmal puppet improv, they're doing improv again
  9. Wow no fighting over roles?
  10. Oop Ru is poking
  11. Juicy did a pretty good job, but Ru's performance felt like too real (if that makes sense)
  12. Ru clearly had fun with Darlene (and did Ru start copying Darlene's accent at one point?), but I feel like Darlene wasn't full Karen?
  13. Myki made me laugh when she slowly reclined her seat (though, again, wasn't full Karen)
  14. Ru referencing Myki's Snatch Game was pretty funny too
  15. I wanted more from Jane
  16. Nini was a real Karen
  17. Wait, Juicy wore Darlene's dress for the challenge?
  18. So I love Juicy's outfit idea, but I don't think she should have the chastity belt unless she's going to unlock it
  19. I wanted Darlene to stay in her wholesome look a tad longer, but wow she really went there for her Folsom look
  20. Myki's looks were both great, but to emphasize that she's the rose's thorn, I'd vote for her second outfit to be a deep dark green instead of black (wait, I think I just didn't look closely enough--for the judges' critiques I swear her outfit looks greener)
  21. Okay, I am going to be this person...Michelle, I get what you were going for when you implied Jane looked like Scrooge's wife, but like...it's actually super important to the plot of A Christmas Carol that Scrooge does not have a wife nor any close connections
  22. Jane gets points for actually pouring wax on herself and/or her chest plate
  23. "Give me liberty or give me a piece of ass," was very funny, Ru
  24. I did enjoy Nini's look
  25. Myki is a solid choice for a winner
  26. Okay, if we are going PURELY on the lip sync, I'd keep Nini (like JFC she did a cartwheel into a flip), but if we are going for overall episode performance and/or season portfolio thus far, then I'd definitely keep Jane
  27. OMG I can't believe Ru really eliminated Jane! I thought it'd be a double save!
  28. Next time is a morning show challenge
  29. I'm still in shock that Jane got eliminated tbh
  30. Well...I guess I'll see what happens next week!

I'm angry

I'm angry. And I don't (at the moment) want to be talked out of it. I struggle, often, with expressing or even just sitting with my emotions. I feel like even the photo I chose for this post was more reserved or toned down than how I feel.  But, this is my trying. I'm not going to time this post, just going to write until I feel done, whenever that may be. In this post, I'm going to focus on the anger I feel around my dad and my dad's death. Though, don't get me wrong, I'm also angry about a lot of things going on in my city, in my country, and in the world. My dad chose alcohol over me and my brother. There is no way around this fact. Yes, when I am less angry, I can be more reasonabl and recognize that addiction is a disesase and he didn't have control over it. But, right now, I want to be angry. I want to get to be angry. I want to get to feel my feelings. I don't want to rationalize, I don't want to be reasonable, I don't want to be fair....
