Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars season 11, episode 9

Time for bracket 3, episode 3!

  1. Sam is right that everyone did well
  2. I do think Joey could've been in the top last episode
  3. Wow Sam is strategic
  4. Wow Shuga really gave Sam her point
  5. Wait, Ru, is THIS show not your dream job?
  6. I do think this is a fun challenge idea that is a great twist on previous challenges
  7. Kennedy's Ru laugh is CRAZY good
  8. Huh I do feel like this challenge would be tough to judge since I doubt it would've been edited together like this
  9. Shuga's performance is mostly making me cringe a bit
  10. Sam's Ru wig is impressive
  11. Sam's performance was better than Shuga's, but I assumed the material the show was giving these queens would be more dynamic
  12. Hershii in the glasses made me smile
  13. Jasmine did well!
  14. Kennedy is GOING for it and I love it
  15. So why was Joey sitting when she was being Ru introducing the guest (literally everyone else was standing)?
  16. Joey did okay
  17. "She's always worn her lips on her sleeve," is an excellent quote, Sam
  18. Shuga...you have to know you're not making it to the semis
  19. I like Ru's dress
  20. OMG IT'S BRONWYN
  21. Is this the first time that a man has been the inspiration for a runway?
  22. I LOVE Shuga's look
  23. Joey is really sexy, but somehow I want the wings to be more?
  24. My favorite part of Sam's look is her makeup and hair and while nothing is bad, the rest of the outfit doesn't quite work for me
  25. Hershii is giving it and I'm into it
  26. Kennedy has my favorite look so far (and still does after seeing the final look)
  27. Jasmine is beautiful and I love the epic bottom of her pants, but the rest isn't as memorable for me
  28. Joey is so funny
  29. Law is being oddly nice?
  30. Law, how much time did Hershii have to get the interview looks together? Or were they provided by the show? Like, I just am not here for Law focusing on Hershii's looks rather than her lip syncs
  31. Kennedy (for me) is the ONLY top performer
  32. Jasmine is starting a group conspiracy?
  33. Kennedy is also KILLING this lip sync (Ru agrees)
  34. I was kinda hoping they'd all through their points behind Hershii to give her more of a chance to compete (that said, Jasmine is a great drag queen)
  35. I did not predict that Ru would have both Sam and Jasmine move forward
  36. Oh and we are still having a comeback queen?
  37. And that one can be from bracket 3?
  38. I love that Michelle and Ru are not going over every queen so like RIP the ones not mentioned
  39. I hope either Joey or Salina joins the semifinals
  40. Guess we'll find out next episode (still wild that bracket 3 could potentially have 4 competitors in the semifinals)

15 facts I learned from a random Wikipedia article

Original prompt: click on "Random Wikipedia Article" and write about whatever comes up (you can try 3 times and pick your favorite). For the record, I got Alejandro Estivill , Fencing at the 2011 Pan American Games – Women's épée , and Benjamin F. Jonas . I chose Benjamin F. Jonas because it was the longest of the three entries and it had a photo. He was born in Kentucky, moved to Illinois as a kid, and went to college and spent the rest of his life in Louisiana Jonas's father was a merchant and lawyer His father knew Lincoln (like they were real buds) Despite this, Jonas sided with the confederacy Not only did he side with the confederacy, but he joined the Confederate army and rose to the rank of major He went to University of Louisiana (now Tulane) Jonas was Jewish (I didn't know there were Jewish senators who served the Confederacy) He was the second Jewish U.S. Senator from Louisiana and the third Jewish Senator overall Jonas was the first Ashkenazi Jewish US...

Origin story or first issue of a superhero whose super power is geometry

Arya sat in history class and was bored. She longed to get to geometry, where things made more sense. She liked geometry so much that she had joined the math team to be able to do it more. Okay, there was also the extra time with her friends who loved math as much as she did, but some of the appeal was just the math itself. Finally the bell rang and Arya had four minutes to get to her geometry class. She passed right by the chemistry class next door where her least favorite teacher was conducting experiments. He needed to be more careful, thought Arya. The teacher had once exploded a glass beaker and not on purpose. Arya took her seat and excitedly pulled out her notebook. It was her favorite color: hot pink. She assigned her notebook and folder colors in ways that felt right to her. And since geometry was her favorite subject, she made her notebook and folder for it her favorite color. As the teacher started to go over the most common mistakes from the last quiz, Arya could've swo...

Color palette

Original prompt: "Google "color palette," pick one, and write something inspired by it." I actually Googled "color palette public domain" to be sure I could use it and found the image on this post. I used the "floral" section for my inspiraiton. The soft sunlight somehow didn't dim the shine of the fireflies. Such it was in the fae realm. Fern loved this time of day in the faewild where it wasn't quite day, but it was far from night. Fern frolicked alone in the glade as she was want to do. It didn't matter to her that her laughter carried itself alone on the breeze; she was content. She wasn't sure how long she'd been alone as she watched the suns begin to set, but it was pleasant in its own way. But then, she heard a noise. It wasn't the noise of leaves on the wind or twigs snapping from some comforting creature. It was the noise of someone approaching with grim determination. Fern wasn't sure how to ready herself to ...
