Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars season 11, episode 11

And then there were 7.

  1. A'keria is NOT having this
  2. I maintain that Joey should've won
  3. I mean, I get that Dawn is faking confidence, but I do agree that her story's content wasn't the problem, it was the execution
  4. The tension is THICC
  5. Incredible product placement
  6. This is a super fun mini challenge
  7. Jasmine did a very sexy version
  8. I did enjoy Joey's more comedic version too though lol
  9. Dawn leaned comedic, but Joey was funnier to me
  10. I actually really enjoyed Sam's performance because (to me) it felt like she combined comedic and sexy
  11. A'keria was so smart in planning her outfit for this challenge--the comedy of it was not lost on me
  12. Silky's puppet is still funny to me
  13. Hey, I'm all for Jasmine finding Crystal hot, but (IMO) Jasmine was hotter
  14. Silky throwing her wig on the camera made me laugh out loud
  15. Sam isn't the worst pick for the winner, but I enjoyed Silky's performance the most
  16. Dang, when Ru said it would be a rumble, I thought it would be more tournament style
  17. Wait...next episode is the finale?
  18. Wait, A'keria, why are you making the puppets and their outfits now???
  19. Joey could do something pretty fun with her dancing
  20. Sam is doing a "teacher's pet" number...okay
  21. I think Dawn's elf burlesque act could be fun
  22. But Jasmine's commentary is funny
  23. Oops forgot to comment on Crystal's idea before, but it could be done well or it could flop
  24. I will say that A'keria's confusion about Crystal's act doesn't concern me just because everyone was concerned about Crystal's commercial challenge in her original season and it kicked ass
  25. I would've liked to see how the queens chose their rehearsal groups
  26. I think the queens should help A'keria instead of laughing at her for not being ready
  27. I find Ru's look intriguing!
  28. I do not know who Cooper Koch is (but I am not a hip lady)
  29. So...this isn't Sam's voice singing this track, right?
  30. That said, Sam's performance was pretty fun (there was one move that felt off to me)
  31. Joey's performance was pretty good, but there was a move that was messed up
  32. So...Jasmine is also not the vocals for the first part of her track, yes?
  33. This weird robotic edit of Jasmine's voice is not working for me
  34. That said, her physical tricks are INCREDIBLE
  35. Dawn's number was fun, but I wouldn't call it burlesque
  36. A'keria's is my favorite so far (Dawn, you have to be obsessed with this hoot!)
  37. I thought Crystal's number was pretty funny, but I actually think it could've been funnier if she did have like a lecture going on in the background about global warming
  38. What stood out to me the most in Silky's performance was how free she looked while dancing
  39. Sam's look is fun, but I am tired of the country inspo and the stars
  40. Joey looks beautiful
  41. Jasmine's look is reminding me of something...but I can't put my finger on it
  42. That said, while Jasmine is STUNNING, this isn't my favorite dress I've seen her in
  43. Dawn's look is INCREDIBLE
  44. A'keria's look made me audibly exhale in awe (if that doesn't come across as sincere--I apologize! It's literally what I did!)
  45. Crystal's creation is just impeccable
  46. Silky does look beautiful, but it's not as much of a standout as some of the other looks
  47. I do love this moment between Ts Madison and Jasmine
  48. Of course Ru picks Crystal
  49. It's RUDE that A'keria is in the bottom! I don't care what anyone else says, her number was the most fun and had the most personality
  50. So, I realize Sam did some more tricks but A'keria was just MAGNETIC and had SO much more emotion (thank GOODNESS Ru saw what I saw)

15 facts I learned from a random Wikipedia article

Original prompt: click on "Random Wikipedia Article" and write about whatever comes up (you can try 3 times and pick your favorite). For the record, I got Alejandro Estivill , Fencing at the 2011 Pan American Games – Women's épée , and Benjamin F. Jonas . I chose Benjamin F. Jonas because it was the longest of the three entries and it had a photo. He was born in Kentucky, moved to Illinois as a kid, and went to college and spent the rest of his life in Louisiana Jonas's father was a merchant and lawyer His father knew Lincoln (like they were real buds) Despite this, Jonas sided with the confederacy Not only did he side with the confederacy, but he joined the Confederate army and rose to the rank of major He went to University of Louisiana (now Tulane) Jonas was Jewish (I didn't know there were Jewish senators who served the Confederacy) He was the second Jewish U.S. Senator from Louisiana and the third Jewish Senator overall Jonas was the first Ashkenazi Jewish US...

Origin story or first issue of a superhero whose super power is geometry

Arya sat in history class and was bored. She longed to get to geometry, where things made more sense. She liked geometry so much that she had joined the math team to be able to do it more. Okay, there was also the extra time with her friends who loved math as much as she did, but some of the appeal was just the math itself. Finally the bell rang and Arya had four minutes to get to her geometry class. She passed right by the chemistry class next door where her least favorite teacher was conducting experiments. He needed to be more careful, thought Arya. The teacher had once exploded a glass beaker and not on purpose. Arya took her seat and excitedly pulled out her notebook. It was her favorite color: hot pink. She assigned her notebook and folder colors in ways that felt right to her. And since geometry was her favorite subject, she made her notebook and folder for it her favorite color. As the teacher started to go over the most common mistakes from the last quiz, Arya could've swo...

Color palette

Original prompt: "Google "color palette," pick one, and write something inspired by it." I actually Googled "color palette public domain" to be sure I could use it and found the image on this post. I used the "floral" section for my inspiraiton. The soft sunlight somehow didn't dim the shine of the fireflies. Such it was in the fae realm. Fern loved this time of day in the faewild where it wasn't quite day, but it was far from night. Fern frolicked alone in the glade as she was want to do. It didn't matter to her that her laughter carried itself alone on the breeze; she was content. She wasn't sure how long she'd been alone as she watched the suns begin to set, but it was pleasant in its own way. But then, she heard a noise. It wasn't the noise of leaves on the wind or twigs snapping from some comforting creature. It was the noise of someone approaching with grim determination. Fern wasn't sure how to ready herself to ...
