Cozy mystery brainstorm #1

So writing cozy mysteries would be oh so much fun. So here are some elements I need to brainstorm.

Main character: Early 30s, female, single (gonna be romance somewhere in the series), book lover, nerd, kind, loves her job
Setting/character's job: Local bookstore with focus on sci-fi, fantasy, and graphica
Some big event related to the person's job where the climax of the story will happen: ComicCon-like convention where the local bookstore will have a booth
Sidekick (ideally animal): Pet tegu, because tegus are amazing and it breaks the typical cat or dog choice, will help catch person by maybe tripping them or maybe clawing at their legs or just scaring them by being in a weird place
Who got murdered: A male comic book writer and artist with the hottest new publication after a series of incredibly mediocre ones
How murdered: Stabbed with a realistic recreation of a weapon from the book
Suspect known to the main character: Rival female writer and artist whose contract got canceled because the murder victim's work's success, childhood friend of main character who does local events at the character's workplace
Additional suspects: Ex of the murder victim who creates realistic items from shows, books, comics, movies, etc.; vague idea of a crazed fan
Whodunnit: Assistant of writer and artist
Whydunnit: The assistant's work was stolen and used to make the murder victim's career successful again, but he had promised to give the assistant money and to reveal that it was their work at the convention, but they backed out and said the assistant couldn't afford to sue and then the writer revealed that he'd taken the assistant's additional notebooks as well as the originals and digital files so the assistant had no proof. The assistant snapped and killed the writer with a realistic recreation of a weapon from the book that they'd bought at the convention
Fun conclusion: Mystery is solved and the childhood friend of the main character plans on making a comic series based on the sidekick

Arya sat in history class and was bored. She longed to get to geometry, where things made more sense. She liked geometry so much that she had joined the math team to be able to do it more. I used the "floral" section for my inspiraiton. The soft sunlight somehow didn't dim the shine of the fireflies. Such it was in the fae realm.
