Thoughts from the latest episode of The Bachelor

I said I'd try to do a recap type post, so here it goes. Just so you know I am writing these as I watch.

  1. Mom chat time
  2. I hope Natasha gets a one on one date in this episode, but it's harsh to have another woman get her second one on one when you haven't had one yet.
  3. Madison HAS to be getting a hometown.
  4. All of these "this is a serious week" talks are so boring.
  5. Hannah Ann is bad at Spanish...that hurt my ears.
  6. How do the women fit all of their outfits into just two suitcases?
  7. Peter is so real??? Really, Madison? Really?
  8. Is your faith important Peter? I just feel like you've never mentioned this before.
  9. DID HE JUST SAY HE WAS FALLING IN LOVE WITH HER?
  10. Wait wait, I thought roses didn't come on these one on ones typically? But maybe I'm misremembering this?
  11. I'm so nervous for Natasha going home right now.
  12. It is a little nuts to tell someone you're falling in love with them and then go on dates with five other women.
  13. Natasha is funny. I enjoy her.
  14. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  15. "I hope you find what you're looking for. I know I will." BOOM
  16. Man that poor orchestra that just has to play for sad Peter and not even have people hear them play.
  17. It seems like Kelsey is gonna get a hometown since he still has a three on one with the other ladies and if he got rid of Kelsey he'd already be down to four, but I just don't get it.
  18. Is there always an ATV ride on this show?
  19. Peter, it's so mean of you to make the cameramen hike up this steep hill with their cameras.
  20. Oh Kelsey, I'm sorry.
  21. So Kelsey is getting a hometown. I guess my current prediction is she's fourth place, but we'll see...
  22. Kelley is going on a three on one with two of the teariest contestants.
  23. Kelley I like you a lot...you're too good for him.
  24. We're keeping Victoria I guess. I'm not that surprised, I think she could win, but I do not think she's the next bachelorette.
  25. WHAT. WHAT. WHAT. WRONG CHOICE. WRONG CHOICE.
  26. Okay so Madison wins or is the next bachelorette I guess.
  27. Madison is a virgin I guess.
  28. Looks like it will be a dramatic final few episodes.

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Starting my parental journey, part 8

You can  read part 1 here ,  read part 2 here ,  read part 3 here ,  read part 4 here ,  read part 5 here , read part 6 here , and read part 7 here . I have begun birth control again. Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
