Thoughts on Secret Celebrity RuPaul's Drag Race season 1, episode 2

You gotta binge shows now, it's quarantine!

  1. I still don't get this guessing at the beginning since we find out so fast
  2. Pee-wee Herman would be hilarious
  3. Loni Love has an Emmy and I don't know her...god I'm so bad at pop culture
  4. Tami Roman looks familiar, but I haven't seen Basketball Wives before...she must remind me of someone
  5. Whoa! Vanessa Williams!
  6. Alyssa...what is with the cowboy hat in your interviews?
  7. I'm so glad to see Asia again, I loved her
  8. Oh man I don't remember Drag Race showing off the idea of drag kings before
  9. All of these women are so funny
  10. I mean it's no surprise that the professional comedian won a comedy challenge
  11. I love that Tami went to drag shows with her mom
  12. Miss Shenita Cocktail is an excellent name
  13. Mary J. Ross is a nice name, but I guess I like punny names
  14. Vanquisha Da House is fun (although I did think she was going to say Valkyrie when she was saying what starts with a V and slays)
  15. I love that they printed lines with highlighting instead of printing scripts and highlighting them
  16. St. Jude's Children's Hospital donation page
  17. Tami's connection to her charity is so touching
  18. The Trevor Project donation page
  19. I would watch a buddy cop movie with Trinity and Loni/Mary
  20. Dress For Success donation page
  21. Okay I want Loni to win...hands down
  22. Hi Dolly!!!
  23. I love that they're doing a Rusical...although dear lord how difficult this must be for the newbies
  24. I want Alyssa to give them some tips since she has a dance school
  25. Miss Shenita looks amazing
  26. I wonder what Trinity's tattoo is
  27. Okay, good...I was scared we were pretending Loni was done
  28. Vangquisha really did channel Dolly
  29. I love how we spent no time watching the mentor queens learn all of their choreography
  30. A great Rusical all around
  31. Vanquisha is fire (get it?)
  32. Miss Shenita does look like an Alyssa Edwards daughter, but it isn't my favorite look
  33. Mary J. Ross looks like a DIVA
  34. I love how gigantic Alyssa's wig is
  35. Loni is sexy AF
  36. I'm loving how sweet this show is
  37. I haven't thought about it before...but who opens the doors to the Werk Room?
  38. James, why haven't you proposed yet? Do it now
  39. I love that Trinity is putting James in super quick drag
  40. I can't believe they could only get one of the loved ones in person
  41. I think Vanquisha is going to win
  42. I was right!
  43. I am so enjoying this spinoff
  44. I do wish Nicole Byer could've been on the show (she said she was asked, but she couldn't get the schedule to work)
  45. Onto the next!

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
