This is me trying drafts of the same haiku. Which is your favorite?
If we find fall oh
so beautiful and bracing,
why do we fear death?
Crisp breezes float red
detritus across my nose.
Ends are so dazzling.
Warm colors cut cool air,
balancing all my senses,
and worlds' energy.
Warm reds and crisp leaves
fill mem'ries, reminding us
Death can be vibrant
Beautiful leaves rasp
against autumnal breezes.
Oh, ends are striking
(Prompt by me)
"Dancing in the street." by Bernard Spragg. NZ
