Thoughts on The Family Chantel season 2, episode 5

I think we get to see Lidia again in this episode.

  1. Wow Chantel's family is traveling in early COVID days
  2. Wait Chantel knew that Angenette had a miscarriage and that Royal suspects/ed that she cheated?
  3. Wait Royal and Chantel are really close? They seemed to be at odds
  4. Chantel, Angenette and Royal are already legally married so what does another wedding actually change things?
  5. Nicole, is there a good time to tell your mom something that is going to piss her off?
  6. Nicole, can't you just be happy that you graduated?
  7. Does Lidia not know that she's a tough mom?
  8. Lidia, it's so harsh to tell Nicole that she's not actually his girlfriend, she's just a fling
  9. Man Lidia is really going to lose it when she finds out Alejandro is still married
  10. Chantel, how could you not tell Pedro that you were on the same flight as the rest of your family?
  11. Angenette is being very thoughtful preparing transportation for them all
  12. "Boots on the grooound. It's going doooown."
  13. Karen is referencing the The Three Musketeers and an Ali fight
  14. Pedro didn't wear socks for the flight?
  15. These room cams make it seem like Karen and Thomas are on like To Catch a Predator or something
  16. Wait...did you bring an adapter for that slow cooker (which appears to be a pot)?
  17. So there aren't actually alligators in the Philippines, but there probably is a crocodile of some sort
  18. Alejandro and Nicole have very different sized heads
  19. Nicole goes through phones like no other
  20. Angenette hopes that her in-laws will be open-minded...oh dear
  21. A pig on a table is not that weird, y'all
  22. Wow Karen is learning Tagalog but did not learn Spanish
  23. Does their bus/jeep thing have WiFi?
  24. Did winter say that this is like a farmers' market but outside? Aren't farmers' markets typically outside?
  25. Oh you gotta try balut
  26. Chantel...sushi is not adventurous
  27. My god will you all not even try a hot dog on a stick?
  28. "Last time I checked, karma is a mother. I am a mother"
  29. Alejandro, leaning into your look isn't going to make Lidia like you
  30. Nicole...did you not ask if Alejandro can stay?
  31. Lidia...didn't Nicole tell Alejandro what to buy?
  32. "You are a dishwasher boy"
  33. You know stuff is good when the cameras have to mobilize
  34. Wow she just chucks his stuff out so things fall out of it
  35. Ooof I hope Royal can control his temper
  36. Wow it looks like meeting the friends doesn't go great
  37. Royal you did say you doubted it because you told Chantel
  38. Angenette telling her family about her relationship troubles is not trying to destroy Royal, Pedro
  39. DOES ROYAL SHOVE WINTER?
  40. I cannot wait til next week

15 facts I learned from a random Wikipedia article

Original prompt: click on "Random Wikipedia Article" and write about whatever comes up (you can try 3 times and pick your favorite). For the record, I got Alejandro Estivill , Fencing at the 2011 Pan American Games – Women's épée , and Benjamin F. Jonas . I chose Benjamin F. Jonas because it was the longest of the three entries and it had a photo. He was born in Kentucky, moved to Illinois as a kid, and went to college and spent the rest of his life in Louisiana Jonas's father was a merchant and lawyer His father knew Lincoln (like they were real buds) Despite this, Jonas sided with the confederacy Not only did he side with the confederacy, but he joined the Confederate army and rose to the rank of major He went to University of Louisiana (now Tulane) Jonas was Jewish (I didn't know there were Jewish senators who served the Confederacy) He was the second Jewish U.S. Senator from Louisiana and the third Jewish Senator overall Jonas was the first Ashkenazi Jewish US...

Origin story or first issue of a superhero whose super power is geometry

Arya sat in history class and was bored. She longed to get to geometry, where things made more sense. She liked geometry so much that she had joined the math team to be able to do it more. Okay, there was also the extra time with her friends who loved math as much as she did, but some of the appeal was just the math itself. Finally the bell rang and Arya had four minutes to get to her geometry class. She passed right by the chemistry class next door where her least favorite teacher was conducting experiments. He needed to be more careful, thought Arya. The teacher had once exploded a glass beaker and not on purpose. Arya took her seat and excitedly pulled out her notebook. It was her favorite color: hot pink. She assigned her notebook and folder colors in ways that felt right to her. And since geometry was her favorite subject, she made her notebook and folder for it her favorite color. As the teacher started to go over the most common mistakes from the last quiz, Arya could've swo...

Color palette

Original prompt: "Google "color palette," pick one, and write something inspired by it." I actually Googled "color palette public domain" to be sure I could use it and found the image on this post. I used the "floral" section for my inspiraiton. The soft sunlight somehow didn't dim the shine of the fireflies. Such it was in the fae realm. Fern loved this time of day in the faewild where it wasn't quite day, but it was far from night. Fern frolicked alone in the glade as she was want to do. It didn't matter to her that her laughter carried itself alone on the breeze; she was content. She wasn't sure how long she'd been alone as she watched the suns begin to set, but it was pleasant in its own way. But then, she heard a noise. It wasn't the noise of leaves on the wind or twigs snapping from some comforting creature. It was the noise of someone approaching with grim determination. Fern wasn't sure how to ready herself to ...
