I have a session coming up on Friday! I don't think my party reads my blog. If you do--STOP IT!
- Have characters level
- Have the giant owl attack
- Chat with Durogark
- He actually spoke with queen's brother, but says he spoke with Oghma
- Says that an object needs to be destroyed
- Gem?
- Magical so may need different things to be destroyed
- Doesn't reveal that their blood will disarm it
- Need to plan out dungeon crawl for this
- The object is in the tower of Baile
- Two days' journey
- Leave town
- The woods of Baile are as beautiful as they are dangerous, filled with gorgeous plants and venomous animals. They act as a protective layer to Baile and served that purpose well a few centuries ago during a civil war. The woods are not so dangerous though that no one lives in them, you just have to be savvy and respectful enough to get by. Merchants often hire guides through the woods to veer away from some of the more dangerous encounters there.
- DC 15 to go through without getting lost. Naeris can roll with advantage.
- Have vine and twig encounter
- They're evil so you can't reason with them
- "A twig blight is an awakened plant that resembles a woody shrub that can pull its roots free of the ground. Its branches twist together to form a humanoid-looking body with a head and limbs."
- "Appearing as masses of slithering creepers, vine blights hide in undergrowth and wait for prey to draw near. By animating the plants around them, vine blights entangle and hinder their foes before attacking. Vine blights are the only blights capable of speech. Through its connection to the evil spirit of the Gulthias tree it serves, a vine blight speaks in a fractured version of its dead master’s voice, taunting victims or bargaining with powerful foes."
- If time, have tree encounter
- Knows Goblin (Goblins made it to guard a stash)
- Once defeated, if they look around they'll find a bag of gems worth 90 gold
- If go through water, have lizard encounter
- If they decide to talk to animals, make it an animal handling check of 18 to convince them not to attack. Lizards think they're invading territory.
- Be sure to ask if there is anything else they want to do
- Second day of travel: have badger encounter
- If they decide to talk to animals, make it an animal handling check of 18 to convince them not to attack. Badgers think they're invading territory. Naeris can do with advantage
- At tower, guards are asleep
- Plan out later what they have (1 will have a high value item)
(Prompt by me)
