Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race season 13, episode 12

I love roast episodes.

  1. Utica...if you really think that Tina should be there then why didn't you send yourself home?
  2. Utica, I don't think you're a lip sync assassin
  3. A makeup tutorial feels like it should be a maxi challenge
  4. Okay now that I know that one person is being the arms I see why it is a mini challenge
  5. Ru is getting his life this challenge
  6. I thought Utica and Gottmik were going to win, but everyone did great
  7. Gottmik, have you watched the roast episodes?
  8. Utica...you are kinda two faced
  9. Kandy and Symone watching Rosé was hilarious
  10. Gottmik is going to do very well
  11. I got Symone's Hocus Pocus reference
  12. Wow Utica is so harsh
  13. Making fat jokes doesn't mean you've made a "really good observation," Utica
  14. Is laughter tangible?
  15. Whoa. Ru looks incredible
  16. I love seeing Nina
  17. Valentina is beautiful
  18. Heidi is the most charming
  19. The roast is harder without an audience
  20. Kandy did great
  21. "Symone is bombing," is exactly what I was going to say, Nina
  22. Symone found some jokes
  23. Utica is also bombing
  24. Utica kept in jokes that they told her to ditch
  25. Utica is being so harsh
  26. Gottmik did well
  27. Olivia had some good jokes, but some not so good jokes
  28. Rosé has such presence
  29. The Miss Congeniality jokes were solid
  30. I hadn't noticed that Rosé did her jokes without cards
  31. I think Kandy is going to win and Utica is going to go home
  32. Loni Love booing is cracking me up
  33. I was right about Kandy winning
  34. Olivia is safe. I didn't say it, but I expected her to be in the bottom with Utica
  35. Symone is a master of facial expressions
  36. Utica is doing some fun movement with her dress
  37. And I was right about Utica going home
  38. ScarJo is on the next episode
  39. Looks like an acting challenge next week
  40. I don't want Symone to cry!

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
