Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race season 13, episode 14

Music video time!

  1. God I'd forgotten that Olivia has only been doing drag for a year
  2. So Kandy wants a boat cause she wants a boat. Mood
  3. Ru's suits continue to shine
  4. Time to make the queens make content
  5. Tic tacs are back!
  6. Has Rosé explained why she has the 28 tattoo?
  7. Rosé is smart to make money by writing raps
  8. "We're not trying to solve world peace here, gorge"
  9. I love Michelle and Gottmik bonding over surgery
  10. Cade is a pornstar name?
  11. "Baby Gottmik"
  12. "I'm charmed by you" is such a huge compliment
  13. I loved all the laughter
  14. Rosé has only been doing drag for three years?
  15. I never thought about how theater can put you into boxes, but I can see it
  16. Did the queens really tell Kandy that that pocket outfit looked fabulous?
  17. Ru is getting her life from these interviews
  18. Wow Symone's whole drag house all moved together
  19. Choreo time!
  20. Boy do they want Rosé to loosen up
  21. It's interesting to hear first impressions
  22. Gottmik, it sounds like you don't have supportive friends
  23. I love that Symone loves herself. That moment was really sweet
  24. "Lucky" is so fun
  25. Thee backup dancers in like beekeeper or fencing masks are hilarious
  26. They all did well
  27. I love Gottmik's makeup but I don't think this is her best look (I also can see her corset)
  28. Kandy looks good, but again I'm not sure it is her best look
  29. Rosé is showing off her heritage, but, once again, I'm not convinced this is her best look
  30. Symone looks fabulous
  31. It's sad that they have to keep reminding the queens that social media is going to be awful
  32. Aw, Ru
  33. I love how they just praise the queens
  34. Aw they're talking to their past selves
  35. Omg they're all so cute as babies
  36. Huh they're making them do it one by one
  37. If they're all doing the same song, there are advantages to the order in which they go
  38. I think Rosé isn't continuing on
  39. Welp I was wrong...they're all continuing on
  40. Ah time to have the viewers weigh in

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Starting my parental journey, part 8

You can  read part 1 here ,  read part 2 here ,  read part 3 here ,  read part 4 here ,  read part 5 here , read part 6 here , and read part 7 here . I have begun birth control again. Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
