Thoughts on the Real Housewives of New York season 13, episode 7

Time for an election party.

  1. Leah shouldn't be here
  2. I feel so bad for Lu's daughter and niece
  3. Sonja being naked wasn't really a thing
  4. So who judged?
  5. Leah wins the pageant and it is definitely rigged
  6. See?
  7. Oh poor Leah (this is genuine and not sarcasm)
  8. Oh poor Eboni (also genuine)
  9. Oop Eboni has a sister
  10. Huh Heather is trying
  11. Here is Eboni having to be an educator again
  12. Sonja is a thrifty lady
  13. I hope Ramona is actually learning
  14. Sonja does need to learn to stand up for herself
  15. Yay voting!
  16. Did none of the ladies do mail in?
  17. You can bring your dog in to vote?
  18. That was a dumb shaped building that they showed
  19. I love that JFK showed up
  20. Ramona is scared...cool...
  21. These dogs are hilarious
  22. Eboni speaks it plain
  23. Wow Sonja is going off
  24. Next time Lu talks to her daughter about drinking
  25. Next time Eboni has her Harlem party
  26. Next time we meet another of Ramona's friends
  27. Next time we see Ramona's vertigo
  28. Next time Ramona gets educated
  29. Next time looks pretty good
  30. Can't wait!

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
