Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race season 14, episode 3

Time for the queens to meet each other!

  1. I love that the queens are excited to see each other
  2. So nevermind, no one went home
  3. A chocolatey twist
  4. So we're continuing the divide between the queens
  5. A dragonfly got into the work room and got eaten
  6. "I eat ass you guys, I can eat a bug"
  7. Aw Kornbread is sweet
  8. I like seeing the queens become friends
  9. Someone hug Kornbread
  10. They really love saying "pair of balls"
  11. Alyssa's zebra look is great
  12. Bosco's zebra look is pretty fun
  13. Willow's zebra look isn't zebra enough for me
  14. Kerri's zebra look is so flouncy
  15. Kornbread's zebra look could have had bigger hair
  16. Orion's zebra look is cute
  17. June's zebra look is fabulous
  18. Daya's red look is great
  19. Angeria's red look is one I want to spin in
  20. DeJa's red look's makeup could've matched better I think
  21. Jasmine's red look is a bit basic for me (only until the lobster claws came out)
  22. Jorgeous's red look is hot but kind of simple
  23. Lady's red look is glamorous
  24. Maddy's red look doesn't fit the best
  25. Alyssa's leopard look is very fashion
  26. Bosco's leopard look makes good use of different leopard print
  27. Willow's leopard look again could've been more leopard
  28. Kerri's leopard look has the best fascinator
  29. Kornbread's leopard look came with the best facial expressions
  30. Orion's leopard look didn't do it for me (maybe it was the skull with blood?)
  31. June's leopard look is too hard to walk in
  32. Daya's white look is fantastic
  33. Angeria's white look has the best pants
  34. Deja's white look looks good
  35. Jasmine's white look could've been more white
  36. Jorgeous's white look is very clean and elegant
  37. Lady's look has a fun neckline, but I don't like the bow
  38. Maddy's white look made me go whoa
  39. Alyssa's wedding look is perfection
  40. Bosco's bridal look doesn't feel very bridal (but that may just be the print)
  41. Willow's bridal look was thought out to a t
  42. Kerri's wedding look is okay
  43. Kornbread's wedding look isn't my favorite, but she gives great face
  44. Orion's wedding look also doesn't feel very bridal
  45. June's wedding look was obscured by her bouquet
  46. Daya's wedding look really reminds me of Crystal Methyd
  47. Angeria's wedding look is heavenly
  48. DeJa's wedding look isn't working for me
  49. Jasmine's wedding look looks hard to walk in
  50. Jorgeous's wedding look is sexy
  51. Lady's wedding look is a bit too crafty for me
  52. Maddy's wedding look is just a bit too simple for me (but the performance is cute)
  53. Please let's stop with Gorge W. Bush
  54. Did Ru really have a coffee enema?
  55. I'm glad Willow won, but I wish she'd given Kornbread a shoutout
  56. I'm not inspired by this lip sync
  57. By the way, I think these "drag gods" are just the producers who could easily switch out a gold chocolate bar
  58. Next time we see JLo
  59. Next time we do an acting challenge
  60. Can't wait!

Starting my parental journey, part 2

You can read part 1 here . Yesterday I began the next step of my parental journey. Ironically, it was starting birth control. This medicine helps prepare my ovaries for the egg retrieval process. It was weird taking the pill to prepare for my fertility journey because you typically think of the pill as ensuring you don't get pregnant. Obviously, I'm not getting pregnant now, but I am getting ready for that eventual possibility. There have also been various bureaucratic issues that I've been dealing with. Mostly insurance stuff (as I'm sure comes as no surprise). But, thanks to a new benefit at work that started 1/1/24, my journey will be (mostly) covered. While, again, there were some bureaucratic hurdles that I had to overcome in order for this to all work out, I am immensely glad that it did work out. I am nervous though. In part I'm nervous about a lot of the practicalities of this step in my journey. For instance, I will have to inject myself with various medica...

15 ways to support me on my parental journey

I posted yesterday and in August, 2023 about starting my parental journey. If you're wondering how you can support me, here are some ideas I have at the moment (though these may change and also don't feel pressured to do any of these things). Check in via text or DM so I can respond at my leisure (but please don't be insulted if I take a long time to respond) Help with arranging food for me (I know that when I get overwhelmed, I often have really awful eating habits) Offer to help with apartment chores (I may turn you down, but the offer will mean a lot) Walk Hoban (I realize only some people can do this, but the relief of lightening the responsibility of Hoban will likely be welcome) Be understanding if I have to cancel plans (I hope to still be somewhat social during this time, but I cannot guarantee how I'm going to feel) Drive me to appointments (I have the retrieval itself covered, but I have other appointments that will happen leading up to it so if you have the...
