Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars season 7, episode 5

Commencement speeches!

  1. Oop Vivienne, you might've been too honest
  2. So there is a plunger plus
  3. Oooh two stars
  4. Why are Jaida and Jinkx playing music?
  5. The alliance makes plans
  6. Vivienne, it's called strategy not pettiness
  7. I don't know who Nikki Glaser is other than from her annoying ads for her new show
  8. Is this meant to be a sincere or a comedic challenge (this is not the first time on this show that I've wondered this)?
  9. Hrm I'm not a huge fan of Ru's look because the rouching just makes me want to iron it (not that I know how)
  10. Nikki Glaser roasted Ann Coulter?
  11. Did the queens make their robes?
  12. No audience makes this a bit more awkward
  13. Monét is doing well and I love her hair
  14. Shea is just so beautiful
  15. Shea made me laugh out loud
  16. Trinity was fun
  17. I am not finding Raja as funny as Ru is (okay the combusting thing was funny)
  18. I'm glad Jaida brought back "look over there!"
  19. Yvie making fun of herself is great
  20. Jinkx did well
  21. Due to personal reasons, I'm a little uncomfy with the Vivienne's premise
  22. I love Monét's look but I'm not sure it's veil-y enough
  23. Shea looks fabulous (as always)
  24. Trinity looks lovely but is it a veil?
  25. Raja's look is fantastic
  26. Jaida looks great
  27. I like Yvie's beaded veil
  28. I like Jinkx's look, but don't love it
  29. I'm not a fan of the Vivienne's look
  30. Oh huh Trinity has done a lot of trains
  31. Oh I hadn't noticed the way it looks like butterflies are holding up Jinkx's veil
  32. Wow it's actually Nancy Pelosi (again)
  33. Yay Jinkx! Again, I didn't super get Raja's speech but her runway look was phenomenal
  34. Oh I love Jinkx's tights
  35. This wasn't my favorite lip sync song but it was nice
  36. Block Jaida or the Vivienne (she does)
  37. Next time Raja and Jinkx have to award their second stars
  38. Next time is a girl group challenge
  39. Next time looks fun
  40. Can't wait!

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
