- You can better express yourself in written words

- If it's expected for what you're thanking people for
- It can help you stand out (especially for a job interview, though this should be a digital note)
- They can make someone's day
- Expressing gratitude is good for you too
- You want to continue contact
- You have the perfect stationery
- You want to let the person to be thanked know you received and appreciated their gift
- You have good penmanship (though don't let poor penmanship stop you--I don't haha)
- You are truly thankful
