This isn't to say Halloween is necessarily the better holiday, just perks Halloween has over Christmas.
- Greater variety of costumes
- More candy
- Better aesthetic (arguably)
- Warmer (generally)
- No mandatory work parties (generally)
- No pressure to give gifts
- No travel expected (generally)
- More community interaction (generally)
- Celebrated across religions in the US (generally)
- Less commercialized (arguably)
- No expectations of having to cook a grand meal (generally)
- No expectations of socializing with people you'd rather not (not to say this is everyone's Christmas experience as it's definitely not mine, but I know this is a thing for some people)
- Preparations don't have to begin months in advance (generally)
- Storytelling is more of a tradition (arguably)
- Non-Hallmark-style movies
