Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race season 15, episode 8

Time for Lalaparuza!

  1. Lol "curse first"
  2. Okay the top was clearly Mistress and Malaysia, Loosey
  3. I hope they pick good songs for this Lalaparuza
  4. It's so jarring to see Ru on the runway this fast
  5. Lol Malaysia chooses neither of the queens she mentioned
  6. Also, Marcia is a great dancer
  7. Malaysia's look is fun and sparkly
  8. Marcia's look is simple but she looks great
  9. Wait is Bruno a judge?
  10. Yeah I agree that Marcia won that lip sync
  11. Spice's look is fierce
  12. Loosey's look is okay
  13. I think Loosey owned that (I'm right)
  14. Luxx looks fabulous
  15. Salina's look isn't my favorite
  16. Salina is winning this for me (and the judges agree)
  17. God, I would not pick Jax to go against
  18. Jax's look i soding it for me
  19. I'm not a huge fan of Mistress's look (though the Ruveal helped a lot)
  20. Jax is absolutely winning this one for me (welp, the judges disagree)
  21. Oh so Anetra gets to choose the song
  22. Sasha looks girly and lovely
  23. Anetra's look is on point
  24. This is close but I think I'm leaning towards Anetra (I predict a double save)
  25. Okay, I won't fight that Sasha won
  26. Why does Spice think Malaysia doesn't know the words?
  27. I'm way more invested in Malaysia, but that wasn't a great lip sync
  28. Phew! The judges picked Malaysia to stay
  29. So do the judges confer? Like what is the point of having anyone besides Ru there?
  30. Ah we had all three go
  31. Anetra has to be safe from this
  32. I would be so scared if I was Luxx
  33. Not that Luxx did poorly, but I would've saved Anetra (though they probably want to have Anetra and Jax in the finale)
  34. Wait what? Are they eliminating one now?
  35. No, one queen gets to save another
  36. Yeah I think the producers wanted these two to give us a show
  37. Yeah I mean Anetra had to stay
  38. My god, there are still 9 of them
  39. Yes, a conga line is amazing
  40. Next week is the ball challenge!

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
