Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race season 15, episode 9

Time for the ball!

  1. Wow Sasha looks great
  2. Photobomb mini-challenge
  3. Salina looks hilarious
  4. Anetra might win based on her jumping into the bathtub idea
  5. Luxx looked so fabulous
  6. Marcia's look was very funny
  7. I was right about Anetra
  8. How are they going to cram a ball into this short episode?
  9. Giving more doesn't necessarily mean more fabric, Spice
  10. Oh, Anetra
  11. Ru looks amazing
  12. Where do I recognize Julia Garner from? (Inventing Anna)
  13. So "Cake and Candy" is fun, but I can only think it's taking time away from an extremely long runway
  14. I'm now going to talk about the first set of looks ("Start Your Engine")
  15. Mistress's look is fun, but not super creative in my opinion
  16. Spice looks great
  17. Luxx is gorgeous, but this isn't my favorite look
  18. I love Marcia's look
  19. Salina's hair and makeup are great, but I'm not a huge fan of the outfit
  20. Whoa Malaysia's shape is insane
  21. Loosey's look is very fun
  22. Sasha is so glamorous
  23. Anetra is so sexy, but I wish the flags were flat against the fabric
  24. Now I'm going to talk about the second set of looks ("My Favorite Ball")
  25. Wow wow wow to Mistress's look
  26. Marcia looks cute
  27. Wow Malaysia is so elegant
  28. Spice's look is fun
  29. So I like the movement on Salina's look, but I'm not a fan of the overall composition
  30. Loosey looks adorable, but I kind of want more
  31. Luxx looks fabulous
  32. Sasha is both beautiful and hilarious
  33. I don't get Anetra's look
  34. Finally, time for the third set of looks ("Crystallized Eleganza")
  35. Mistress looks drop dead gorgeous
  36. Spice looks okay, but I don't think she's winning with this look
  37. Marcia looks great, but I'm not a fan of the crotch crystal
  38. Malaysia is beautiful, but this isn't my favorite look
  39. I really like the concept of Salina's look, but the fit is rough
  40. Loosey's acting is really fun, but the look doesn't stand out as much as her acting does
  41. Luxx's look made me go "Whoa!"
  42. Sasha really sold her look to me and I bought it!
  43. Anetra's look screams EFFORT and it has paid off
  44. Oh wow I totally missed that Salina's face was on the notes
  45. Okay "looking like the deathly hallows" makes no sense
  46. I like this song!
  47. I want Salina to win
  48. Spice, don't crawl on the stage after you smashed your disco ball purse on it
  49. Spice had a fun exit
  50. Next week is an interview challenge?

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
