Don't read if you're on my Halloween card list! I'm going to be including some creative pieces in each card.
A full moon rises, as do the dead ones,
lurching, fingernails congealed with grave dirt.
Where they are headed is to consume tons
of flesh, innards, and blood that will soon spurt.
They desert their interred crypts to bask in
ghostly illumination. They pillage
and call out to inhospitable djinn,
reveling and ravaging the village
Welcomed are they all for it is Hallow's
Eve. All dance the Danse Macabre together,
relishing in humor of the gallows.
Souls one and all are light as a feather.
The corpses shuffle back to graveyards soon,
taking fresh ones as their ghastly new boon.
