Hot Frosty 3 aka Hot Nutcracker

Hot Frosty just demands a threequel. Please enjoy my pitch for Hot Nutcracker (because Hot Nut and Hot Cracker do not work).

Title:

  • Hot Nutcracker

Tagline:

  • Only he could crack her hard shell

Key characters with some ideas for casting if not already cast:

    • Already cast as Katy Mixon Greer
  • Peter Nutcracker (I literally Googled "hot male ballet dancers")
    • Chun Wai Chan
    • Kimin Kim
    • Roberto Bolle
  • Rowan Gingerbreadman
  • Nicole Singh (I added the last name of Singh based on the actress being Guyanese-Canadian)
    • Already cast as Sarah DeSouza-Coelho
  • Kathy Barrett
    • Already cast as Lacey Chabert
  • Jack Snowman
    • Already cast as Dustin Milligan
  • Sheriff Nathaniel Hunter
    • Already cast as Craig Robinson
  • Deputy Sheriff Ed Schatz
    • Already cast as Joe Lo Truglio

Synopsis:

  • The local school is putting on a Christmas production of The Nutcracker, but after the kids playing Fritz and Clara get too rough in the fight over the nutcracker both the nutcracker prop and the kids need fixing up. The kids are taken to Dr. Dottie Stahlbaum who fixes them up and gives them some advice on how to get along. Dottie even offers to find them a new nutcracker if the two kids agree to make amends. The kids readily agree.
  • Dottie goes to the thrift store and explains the predicament. The store owners exchange a knowing glance and bring out a nutcracker that just came in. Dottie comments on how handsome this particular nutcracker seems. Dottie takes him to the school, but finding no one to pass him off to, she puts him on the stage and snaps a picture to send to Jack (who is helping stage the play) to show where she left him.
  • Overnight, the nutcracker springs to life in full soldier uniform. However, he is confused as to why he's in the school so he runs out, in search of the woman he saw take his picture, hoping she has some answers for her.
  • The nutcracker, after some running around and causing a stir, finds Dottie outside her clinic. She examines him and asks if he hit his head. He asserts that no, he is in fact the nutcracker that came to life. Dottie compares the picture and finds some remarkable similarities, but asserts that he has better teeth than the nutcracker.
  • Somewhat doubtful of his assertion, she invites him to help out with the production of The Nutcracker if he really is one he should be able to help out. Dottie assumes this will either help ease him out of his delusion or prove that he's really the nutcracker (which has, after all, gone missing).
  • Sheriff Hunter catches wind that the school's nutcracker has been stolen and finds footage of an odd man running out of the school at night. He and Deputy Schatz are on the case doggedly.
  • Over the course of helping with the school production, Dottie and the nutcracker, whom Dottie calls Peter after Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovs, grow closer leading almost to a kiss. Peter asks if Dottie is sure and she explains of course, he's hot. Peter pulls back a bit and asks if that's all it is to her. Guarded, Dottie says yes and Peter leaves.
  • Disappointed and in her head, Dottie gives Kathy one of her final maternity examines and says she's due any day and it might even be a Christmas baby. Kathy asks Dottie what's going on and Dottie opens up that she pushes men away because her last ex cheated on her and after that she resolved to date like a man--sex first. Kathy tells her that she should open her heart back up if Dottie thinks Peter is worth it. Dottie says he is.
  • While Peter wanders around dejectedly, Hunter and Schatz find him and have him arrested for stealing the nutcracker and breaking into the school (although they can only find footage of him leaving).
  • Dottie finds Peter being arrested by Hunter and Schatz and explains that he didn't break in, he is a nutcracker that came to life. Hunter says he's done with this, can't this town just have normal crimes and problems? On Dottie's word and the picture proof, Hunter lets Peter go and Dottie comments that Hunter is getting soft.
  • Dottie explains that she has been closed off to men, but that she doesn't want to be. The two kiss and the magic of their kiss turns Peter into a real man.
  • Just then, Jack runs up and says Kathy is in labor. A healthy baby girl is born and they name her Holly Noel Snowman.
  • The whole town of Hope Springs rejoices.

Additional elements to work in:
  • Thrift shop store owner wearing an eye patch and maybe a cape (à la Drosselmeyer)
  • Kathy appears throughout pregnant

(Prompt by Brigid O'Keefe, Kimisha Cassidy, Lucy Wright, Sonia Soto, and Sylvie Ramirez)

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
