Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race, season 17, episode 5

Time for a commercial RDR Live!

  1. I forgot Acacia was an LA queen
  2. I would be pissed that the judges didn't mention the tumbleweed! I will die on this hill
  3. Classic role-selection drama
  4. Hormona getting why it's called a beaver was adorable
  5. Onya gives great face
  6. The beaver sketch was fun, but not super memorable to me
  7. I like this Ru song
  8. I feel like Suzie swung big and didn't fully deliver, but she was still fun
  9. I feel like I'm supposed to know who this doctor is
  10. I don't think this doctor actor is doing a good job
  11. Playing the trombone was hilarious
  12. I wish the best for Lexi
  13. Onya's look is cool, but I want a bigger headpiece
  14. Kori looks cute, but I don't think it's super memorable
  15. Arrietty's look is awesome
  16. Lana's look is lovely
  17. Hormona is beautiful, but this isn't my favorite look
  18. Sam's look is fun, but, again, I don't think this will stick out to me
  19. Jewels's look is great
  20. Crystal's look has a sense of humor
  21. Lexi's look makes me smile
  22. Suzie's look is one of my favorites
  23. Lydia's look is hilarious and my favorite
  24. Acacia's look has a distinct point of view
  25. I would've picked Onya as the winner tbh
  26. I know this song!
  27. I think Lydia is going to win (and she does)
  28. Wow I did not expect Michelle to get dunked (oh the levers were 1 and 7 for season 17)
  29. Next time is a ball challenge with sabotage?
  30. Can't wait!

I've officially begun my second cycle. On Wednesday, I had a virtual appointment, yesterday I had my baseline ultrasound, and today I began injections again. On Wednesday, I expressed my concern about my weight and was told not to fret about it for this cycle but that I should work on it for my health. I got told some vague things about measuring my food by volume and weight and that being the key the weight loss (idk it sounded weird to me). But other than that my appointment went well and I really liked the PA I met with. Overall, she was supportive and encouraging me to advocate for myself. Yesterday, I had to get up earlier than normal (6am) so I could make it to my ultrasound at 7am (I have asked for future ultrasounds to be at 8am). I got weighed (ugh), had my blood drawn, and t...

Now, that may sound like I'm bailing out of my fertility journey, but it's actually the opposite. In order to get everything ready for the egg retrieval, I need to hop on birth control for a little bit and then hop off. It feels a bit odd to be taking oral birth control, have a birth control arm implant, and be getting ready for an egg retrieval--but that's how it goes (for me at least--getting to keep the arm implant is rare or so I'm told). People have asked me how I'm feeling about this round of egg retrieval and honestly, I haven't thought about it much yet. I am focused on a big stressful event for work and then C2E2 (Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo--basically, Chicago's Comic-Con) which I attend every year. Because of these two events (one stressful, one fun), I del...
