15 hopes I have for Survivor's 50th season

It premieres tonight (though I'll watch it later)!

  1. Cirie wins
  2. If not Cirie, a winner who is a woman (sorry, I'm usually gonna root for women)
  3. New challenges (not just a recombination of old ones)
  4. Unique idol rule twists
  5. Bringing families to Fiji for a challenge (they used to bring at least one family member of the remaining contestants to the filming location)
  6. Challenges that feature Survivor trivia (again, they used to do this)
  7. Rewards that get winners out of the typical filming location and into cool spots in Fiji (once again, they used to do similar things)
  8. Happy reunions between both old allies and old foes
  9. At least one entirely new mechanic (whether it be a new advantage, a new way to return to the game, a way for fans to have a jury vote for the sole survivor, or something I haven't thought of!)
  10. An all women's alliance that isn't talked about as uniquely dangerous because it's all women
  11. Challenge records are broken
  12. The number 34 pops up somehow as this will just amuse me
  13. No medical evacuations (they're always scary even though everyone on the US show has ended up being fine)
  14. A romance that lasts blossoms (I have 0 idea how many of the folks are single, but I do honestly enjoy when this happens, although it is rare)
  15. Replacements for Jeff make themselves known

(Prompt by me)

15 facts about my dad

Just been thinking about some lighthearted facts I know about my dad lately. When he was young, he had a goldfish named Lysander He introduced me to Star Trek At Christmas, he would tear up at It's a Wonderful Life He used to send me articles from his Yahoo email account that he thought I'd like We used to play a game called "Nightmare" where he would lie down and we'd jump around (and sometimes on) him He would clip possible recipes for us to try out of newspapers and magazines We bought him a Paddington Bear to take on trips because we feared he'd be lonely and he always took it He had teddy bears for three different holidays We once had such a hilariously difficult time building a gingerbread house that when some frosting ended up on the counter, I plopped a gumdrop on it and we laughed until we cried He and his sister were born about 11 months apart We would try recipes from Top Chef He kept gifts I made him, even when they weren't great At Christmas, ...
