Thoughts on 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life season 5, episode 2

Not sure what's happening this episode as we only got a season preview at the end of the last episode.

  1. God, Pedro is so hot (I maintain that Pedro and Chantel were one of the hottest couples combined within the franchise)
  2. I love Julia being supportive
  3. Oof it's so sad that Pedro is the first guy to buy Sophie flowers
  4. Oof, I do feel bad for Jamal finding all of this out so late and so quickly (Wait, Jamal found out about his sister when he was 12? It is confusing that he found out about her as a kid, but not about Larry until he was much older)
  5. Yikes, I was expecting the daughter to have been placed for adoption BEFORE Larry and to be with a different father
  6. Ah yeah, Jamal makes a good point that Kim has put Jamal in a tough spot as he tries to build a bond with Larry
  7. Yeah, Cortney, your parents are good roommates for you because they probably pay for everything and you do not have the ability to read people well
  8. Cortney's deflecting laugh was hilariously tiny horse-like
  9. Colt, in order for things to be different, you have to be different (Are you in therapy?)
  10. Yeah, Cortney makes a good point that maybe Colt is "banging for rent," but then not even doing the banging
  11. Colt, your exes were with you because they didn't know you yet
  12. Oof Pedro and Sophie are a little uncomfy to watch
  13. Oop seems like Liz broke girl code (though I don't remember the conversation exactly how Pedro is relaying it, but a) I am multitasking, b) Pedro may be wrong either intentionally or not, and c) maybe we just didn't see the whole conversation in the edit)
  14. Pedro, you still need to work on communication (I mean, so does Sophie, but I don't want to pretend you're acing it either)
  15. Side note, Sophie, do you speak Spanish (didn't you live in Mexico for a while?)?
  16. Oof, Sophie, pulling out your phone like that was rude
  17. I love that Colt's friend laughs when he hears the full set-up that Colt has going on
  18. Ah yes, Colt, just stereotype all Brazilian women
  19. Omg Colt is looking for a partner in Brazil again
  20. Wow, Colt, so you went into Hunt for Love with the plan to not come out of it with a relationship
  21. Of course he's still talking to that woman (and, now that we've seen her photo, you know she's gonna end up on camera on this show)
  22. COLT! YOU HAVE TO TELL CORTNER ABOUT DIANA AT SOME POINT BECAUSE YOU TOLD THE CAMERAS ABOUT HER AND PROVIDED THE PRODCUERS HER CONTACT INFORMATION
  23. Next time we are reintroduced to Vanya
  24. Next time Vanya has a guy in mind (but she has not had a conversation with him)
  25. Next time Sophie updates Julia on the Pedro situation
  26. Next time Gino is wearing under eye patches wrong
  27. Next time Natalie asks Gino about his current feelings for Jasmine
  28. Next time Colt and Cortney hook up?
  29. Next time Cortney's friends go after Colt
  30. Looking forward to it!

15 facts I learned from a random Wikipedia article

Original prompt: click on "Random Wikipedia Article" and write about whatever comes up (you can try 3 times and pick your favorite). For the record, I got Alejandro Estivill , Fencing at the 2011 Pan American Games – Women's épée , and Benjamin F. Jonas . I chose Benjamin F. Jonas because it was the longest of the three entries and it had a photo. He was born in Kentucky, moved to Illinois as a kid, and went to college and spent the rest of his life in Louisiana Jonas's father was a merchant and lawyer His father knew Lincoln (like they were real buds) Despite this, Jonas sided with the confederacy Not only did he side with the confederacy, but he joined the Confederate army and rose to the rank of major He went to University of Louisiana (now Tulane) Jonas was Jewish (I didn't know there were Jewish senators who served the Confederacy) He was the second Jewish U.S. Senator from Louisiana and the third Jewish Senator overall Jonas was the first Ashkenazi Jewish US...

Origin story or first issue of a superhero whose super power is geometry

Arya sat in history class and was bored. She longed to get to geometry, where things made more sense. She liked geometry so much that she had joined the math team to be able to do it more. Okay, there was also the extra time with her friends who loved math as much as she did, but some of the appeal was just the math itself. Finally the bell rang and Arya had four minutes to get to her geometry class. She passed right by the chemistry class next door where her least favorite teacher was conducting experiments. He needed to be more careful, thought Arya. The teacher had once exploded a glass beaker and not on purpose. Arya took her seat and excitedly pulled out her notebook. It was her favorite color: hot pink. She assigned her notebook and folder colors in ways that felt right to her. And since geometry was her favorite subject, she made her notebook and folder for it her favorite color. As the teacher started to go over the most common mistakes from the last quiz, Arya could've swo...

Color palette

Original prompt: "Google "color palette," pick one, and write something inspired by it." I actually Googled "color palette public domain" to be sure I could use it and found the image on this post. I used the "floral" section for my inspiraiton. The soft sunlight somehow didn't dim the shine of the fireflies. Such it was in the fae realm. Fern loved this time of day in the faewild where it wasn't quite day, but it was far from night. Fern frolicked alone in the glade as she was want to do. It didn't matter to her that her laughter carried itself alone on the breeze; she was content. She wasn't sure how long she'd been alone as she watched the suns begin to set, but it was pleasant in its own way. But then, she heard a noise. It wasn't the noise of leaves on the wind or twigs snapping from some comforting creature. It was the noise of someone approaching with grim determination. Fern wasn't sure how to ready herself to ...
