Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars season 11, episode 4

Time for bracket 2, episode 1!

  1. Crystal Methyd looks incredible
  2. Salina EsTitties's dress is pretty, but her makeup is PERFECTION
  3. Vivacious's look is fun, playful, but also stunning
  4. April Carrión's outfit is not my favorite, but her hair and makeup is gorgeous (okay, I think I was just not paying attention--I'm seeing it in the Werk Room and it is quite intricate)
  5. Aura Mayari looks great, but it's not the most memorable to me
  6. I am so excited to see Silky Nutmeg Ganache and I love that her look is a reference, but also just amazing
  7. "Are we alliance-ing right now?" is a great quote, Salina
  8. Wait, Aura, the way you said that made it seem like Salina is the only other queen you talk to from your season...did you mean that?
  9. I do love the alliance talk happening right away
  10. But lol, Crystal does not want to align herself with anyone
  11. Aw I'm enjoying the bond between Silky and Vivacious
  12. Silky with the puppet is pretty funny
  13. I love Ru's look
  14. "I only know the hoes," is a great quote, Reneé Rapp
  15. Between Vivacious and Silky's performance looks, I like Vivacious's look better
  16. That said, I think Silky has more charisma in this performance
  17. Wait how come April and Salina got like a whole set?
  18. I really like April and Salina's lyrics, but the song combined with their dancing just does not click for me (like they seem to be from different eras)
  19. Aura and Crystal are my favorite, but some of the dance moves didn't quite work for me (that said, they did a great job)
  20. Vivacious's look is IMPECCABLE (like I cannot see how any improvement could be made)
  21. Silky's look made me giggle and gasp (but the headpiece REALLY wants to fall over)
  22. April's look is enchanting, but there is something just a tad off (perhaps distracting?) about her makeup
  23. Salina looks beautiful, but the other looks just stood out to me more
  24. Aura manages to combine daintiness and sexiness, but, like Salina's look, the first three looks just really captivated me
  25. Crystal's work is such a great mix of camp and fashion
  26. Aura and Crystal were my top too as well
  27. Not sure Crystal's yellow makeup works with the lip sync outfit she selected (okay, just noticed how her extra outfit limbs are working and it's great)
  28. Wait, Aura, if you can't do a split, please do not attempt one (she did a death drop that worked mostly well though)
  29. I almost always prefer a quirkier take on a lip sync, so Crystal was my winner (and Ru agrees!)
  30. Next week is bracket 2, episode 2 (although, I really do wish they'd give us a preview of what challenge they'll be doing)

I'm angry

I'm angry. And I don't (at the moment) want to be talked out of it. I struggle, often, with expressing or even just sitting with my emotions. I feel like even the photo I chose for this post was more reserved or toned down than how I feel.  But, this is my trying. Though, don't get me wrong, I'm also angry about a lot of things going on in my city, in my country, and in the world. My dad chose alcohol over me and my brother. There is no way around this fact. Yes, when I am less angry, I can be more reasonabl and recognize that addiction is a disesase and he didn't have control over it. But, right now, I want to be angry. I want to get to be angry. I want to get to feel my feelings. I don't want to rationalize, I don't want to be reasonable, I don't want to be fair....
