New discoveries abound ad we get to know each other. I know I struggle with this sometimes, so please tell me of any other suggestions you have. We have these and it's nice (especially as a newbie to the team) to just check in and see people's pets Have video happy hours (my team is doing them on Fridays) Teach friend's something over video. I'm not saying this will all work for everyone, but hopefully some of them will help people during this very stressful time. Scan your body for tension. The other day I was like "oh why do I have a headache?" and then realized I'd been clenching my jaw for who knows how long Stretch, roll your joints, this helps relieve tension Take a bath. A lot of us have the time now, so take it Give yourself a massage. For me this is often just taking the time to scratch my head a lot, but it does really help Listen to calming sounds. I use t his video of rain and Tibetan bowls all the time to help me fall asleep Allow yourself time to do nothing productive. I know I have really let my activity slide. Take a dog for a walk. Don't have one? As your friend who does if you can take their dog for a walk Do work out videos at home. There are so many! Hey all, to be clear I don't mean going against recommendations of social distancing. I'm just trying to brainstorm some ways to make myself (and others) feel less alone during this time. Cuddle my doggo. I know that I have a need for physical contact so I'm so glad I have a dog now. If you can and want to foster an animal, I know PAWS is looking for fosters! Record videos of me reading stories. I did this once for a friend and I think it helped her when she was feeling lonely. I also think I would find this rewarding. Playing games online with friends. It's still a way to interact with people. Write letters. I think I can still pop over to a mailbox and be okay Try to play a board game over video chat.
