Thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race season 12, episode 6

Snatch game is always one of the best episodes.

  1. My team of 3 is down to 1...Wido please keep it up
  2. OMG Mean Girls stars (although 0 of them the women)
  3. Widow...I am not sure that's a good idea
  4. As always there are people I don't know
  5. Actually, in Snatch Game you have a lot of potential scene partners
  6. Okay, I love Vanjie, a lot...but didn't she do poorly at Snatch Game?
  7. Okay so she admits she was bad at it
  8. Yeah if Heidi doesn't know who Phaedra is then she shouldn't impersonate her cause like Heidi doesn't have the time to binge watch Real Housewives of Atlanta
  9. It's such a TV hug to have both faces to camera
  10. I actually want to see Gigi be a robot
  11. Take a shot each time Ru says volley
  12. I am enjoying Dahlia showing up in her broccoli costume
  13. Wow I feel like Ru is being way more explicit and less with the double entendre
  14. Aiden, you could've made this work, but so far you aren't
  15. Aaron Samuels looked right at camera and it was amazing
  16. No, I am not going to remember the actors' names and I will just be calling them by their Mean Girls names
  17. Gigi is doing amazing
  18. Crystal...Ru is trying to give you something
  19. Jan, I think I can see your wig coming off
  20. Brita, yeah Aiden isn't doing great, but neither are you
  21. Hey, all queens, you need more than one joke
  22. I honestly don't get Cherry's Katherine Hepburn
  23. I will say, I think we're seeing less of Cherry which is great
  24. Yay for more voter registration promotion!
  25. "Frozen Eleganza" inspired by the Broadway musical...not the movie? Can we just not say the Disney movie? Did the musical specifically pay for some mentions?
  26. Yes, Jackie, they aren't saying they weren't prepared, they're saying that they freaked out
  27. Widow, I want to hug you
  28. Gigi, I am proud of you and I'm glad that you have the mother and uncle that you do
  29. I love all of the judges' outfits this episode
  30. Heidi looks fabulous
  31. Jackie's look does feel pretty different than her previous ones and she looks great
  32. Jaida is gorgeous
  33. I love that Jan's look has more humor and (at least so far) looks pretty different
  34. I did get that Widow was a Titanic survivor before she said it, but I worry that they wont' think it fits the theme enough
  35. Gigi continues to be able to combine fashion and comedy
  36. Aiden's look is a lot like her basketball wives' look
  37. Brita is beautiful, but I do not quite get the pink and orange colors for this challenge
  38. Crystal, the fact that you were inspired by Mr. Freeze is amazing
  39. I did want Widow to do better this challenge, but since she's the last one on my team I will definitely take her being safe
  40. Oh my god, Aiden's contacts are turning around and creeping me out
  41. I would've been mad if anyone besides Gigi had won this episode
  42. I like Crystal, I hope she isn't in the bottom two
  43. THANK GOODNESS
  44. Also, the show has certainly been editing up the tension (not to say that I don't think it's there, I just think a lot of the run time has been devoted to it when there are likely other tensions or story lines we could be focusing on) between Aiden and Brita so seeing them in direct competition is not surprising
  45. Wow it is the Broadway version of "Let It Go" and not the Disney version
  46. Aiden...you need to do more
  47. I love the fake snow!
  48. I still love that this song has the word fractals in it
  49. Was that magic trick sanctioned?
  50. Aaron Samuels's reaction to the magic trick was amazing and GIF worthy
  51. I mean...Aiden has to go home, right?
  52. Yeah Brita had to be the one to stay because everything she did was better than Aiden
  53. That was a fun exit
  54. I also love rusical episodes so I'm looking forward to next week
  55. AOC is on next week!!!

15 facts I learned from a random Wikipedia article

Original prompt: click on "Random Wikipedia Article" and write about whatever comes up (you can try 3 times and pick your favorite). For the record, I got Alejandro Estivill , Fencing at the 2011 Pan American Games – Women's épée , and Benjamin F. Jonas . I chose Benjamin F. Jonas because it was the longest of the three entries and it had a photo. He was born in Kentucky, moved to Illinois as a kid, and went to college and spent the rest of his life in Louisiana Jonas's father was a merchant and lawyer His father knew Lincoln (like they were real buds) Despite this, Jonas sided with the confederacy Not only did he side with the confederacy, but he joined the Confederate army and rose to the rank of major He went to University of Louisiana (now Tulane) Jonas was Jewish (I didn't know there were Jewish senators who served the Confederacy) He was the second Jewish U.S. Senator from Louisiana and the third Jewish Senator overall Jonas was the first Ashkenazi Jewish US...

Origin story or first issue of a superhero whose super power is geometry

Arya sat in history class and was bored. She longed to get to geometry, where things made more sense. She liked geometry so much that she had joined the math team to be able to do it more. Okay, there was also the extra time with her friends who loved math as much as she did, but some of the appeal was just the math itself. Finally the bell rang and Arya had four minutes to get to her geometry class. She passed right by the chemistry class next door where her least favorite teacher was conducting experiments. He needed to be more careful, thought Arya. The teacher had once exploded a glass beaker and not on purpose. Arya took her seat and excitedly pulled out her notebook. It was her favorite color: hot pink. She assigned her notebook and folder colors in ways that felt right to her. And since geometry was her favorite subject, she made her notebook and folder for it her favorite color. As the teacher started to go over the most common mistakes from the last quiz, Arya could've swo...

Color palette

Original prompt: "Google "color palette," pick one, and write something inspired by it." I actually Googled "color palette public domain" to be sure I could use it and found the image on this post. I used the "floral" section for my inspiraiton. The soft sunlight somehow didn't dim the shine of the fireflies. Such it was in the fae realm. Fern loved this time of day in the faewild where it wasn't quite day, but it was far from night. Fern frolicked alone in the glade as she was want to do. It didn't matter to her that her laughter carried itself alone on the breeze; she was content. She wasn't sure how long she'd been alone as she watched the suns begin to set, but it was pleasant in its own way. But then, she heard a noise. It wasn't the noise of leaves on the wind or twigs snapping from some comforting creature. It was the noise of someone approaching with grim determination. Fern wasn't sure how to ready herself to ...
